Review: RoC Derm Correxion Dual Eye Cream

One of the best things I've ever had the pleasure to try from Chemist Warehouse has to be RoC. It's one of those brands that I've been impressed by, every time I've had the chance to try a product from them, and it's of no surprise that I've once again been blown away by their newest addition, the RoC Derm Correxion Dual Eye Cream!

This unique eye cream is essentially a 2-in-1 solution for the skin around your eyes, in that it contains two different products to help treat the upper and lower eye areas. In one round, opaque container, you'll find the upper eye gel, which is meant to help lift and firm the look of the eyelids, while there is also a lower eye cream, which is supposed to visibly smooth, reduce puffiness and minimize the appearance of dark eye circles.

The formulas use a combination of advance RoC® retinol and peptides to help achieve the above, and this duo is easy to use. Simply apply a thin layer of the pink gel to the eyelid and brow bone region, and the white cream to the under eye area, dabbing it in with light, quick taps, so that you're not dragging along the skin. This can be used both in the morning and the evening, and as always, I would recommend using SPF with retinol.

Each well holds about 10 ml of product, which means that you're getting about 20 ml of product in total for just under $60. I like that the pink gel is really light, and easy to press into the skin with little effort. Conversely, the white cream is quite a bit thicker, and takes a bit more time and effort to work into the skin. Neither of them seem to have a scent, and the jar works well at keeping the light out.

I like that the pink gel, while viscous, doesn't stay sticky, and that this does seem to help with smoothing the region above the eyes. The under eye cream packs a bit of a punch, and is quite thick, which helps with moisturising the area. I do feel like my eyes aren't as puffy as they could be, but sadly, the dark eye circles remain. Overall, it's excellent value, and I like that they've created it so that you can target the areas that you'd like to get to.
