Review: Bangn Body Shimmer Firming Oil

Happy Sunday to my gorgeous babes! Have you guys had an amazing weekend? Even though I had to work on Saturday, the rest of it was pretty great! So, I got to hang out with one of my besties, because we had the chance to go to the Hilary Duff concert, and it was a blast! Not only did I get to do that, I also managed to squeeze in a catch up earlier in the week with one of my other besties, while attending a conference. It was just a great reminder that I've been very lucky in life to have so many people come into it, making it complete.

 

I love that it's starting to get really warm - I feel like I left when we were having colder days still, but now, it's so much nicer, the days are longer, and I can finally wear shorts again! It does mean that my pins will be on display a lot more, which, really is for me, and not for others, but I love keeping my skin nourished, and in the Summer, I love a bit of shimmer, which is why the Bangn Body Shimmer Firming Oil felt like the ideal addition to my rotation!

 

You already know how much I love Bangn Body products - you can find reviews about them over here, here, here and here. Like a magpie, I've always been attracted to shiny things, and that has continued even with age, especially now that they've produced skincare that contain subtle, yet delicious, shimmer. For a change, compared to the other body oils by Bangn Body, this comes in a plastic bottle with a plastic cap and a pump that gets out a nice amount of product every time it's pressed. I would highly recommend shaking it up to make sure that the shimmer and oil are mixed together nicely before you get started.

 

Like the original firming oil, this contains a blend of eight oils, including pineapple fruit oil, macadamia seed oil, avocado oil, coffee seed oil, olive fruit oil, jojoba seed oil, sunflower seed oil and soybean oil. It's said to be hydrating and nourishing, while also helping to improve tone and texture. It's meant to also reduce the appearance of stretch marks and scarring, but I can't say I've noticed any improvement in that area at all. This has a surprisingly strong banana/vanilla scent to it, which I don't mind, but I do prefer the pure vanilla scent from the brand. 

 

I love that this isn't sticky, and that it smooths over the skin easily, and it's definitely more of a dry oil to me than a greasy one. It doesn't cling to my clothes when I get dressed, and the shimmer is so subtle, it simply just looks a little bit like a sheen, which I adore. The Bangn Body Shimmer Firming Oil is available in 65 ml and 130 ml at $36 and $71 respectively, anuy another d it currently available at their website, and at Sephora. I will say that I wish this came in a glass bottle, instead of a plastic one, and I wouldn't mind a different scent, but I love the sheen, and the consistency of this oil, and I would certainly purchase another one in the near future!
