Dr Melaxin Cemenrete Calcium Volume Multi Balm

I love when fun marries functionality! You could said that there are products where they really do put the fun in functionality, am I know? It could be simple things, like having a hand sanitiser in a holder that clips onto the outside of the bag - it makes sense, right, not having to root around in your bag for your hand sanitiser when your hands are grubby? Or a mirror built into the lid of your lipstick case, so that you can always apply your lippie with absolute precision? I've always said that I love clever products, and sometimes, things just really make sense, and the Dr Melaxin Cemenrete Calcium Volume Multi Balm certainly fits that category!

I was very pleasantly surprised when I was sent a set of products from YesStyle recently, and they were all Dr Melaxin goodies, but I was immediately drawn to the Cemenrete Calcium Volume Multi Balm, which looked too cute to ignore. I wanted to use it appropriately, as I wasn't sure how it was meant to be applied, so I looked it up before proceeding, and I was surprised to learn that it's actually an eye care balm that's supposed to help manage the appearance of wrinkles around the eyes, as well as help to boost the volume of the skin in the area.

To help the skin under the eyes look it's brightest and best, the formula is infused with calcium, collagen extract and elastin, all combined together to help boost collagen production and skin elasticity. I love that this is marketed as a solid balm, which means that you can pop this into your bag without fearing that it would leak, and that this is easy to cart around with you. It comes housed in a purple case that is not unlike the colour of my hair currently, and I love that the cap snaps back on with confidence, given that it is just as easy to remove it.

I love that the balm doesn't have a scent to it, and that it glides over the skin without dragging, and it feels lightweight and comfortable, which means that it also doesn't sit on the skin for long. I love that this is surprisingly moisturising for something that is applied in such a thin layer, but given that this has jojoba oil, sweet almond oil, avocado oil, sunflower seed oil and olive seed oil in the formula, I probably would be more surprised if it didn't help to keep the skin hydrated!

To use this, just roll it over the skin, around the problem areas. For me, that would be under the eyes, up over the brows and around the temples. It's easy to use, mess free and you simply twist it up like a lipstick as it gets worn away. For $28, it gets you 9g of product, and given that you don't run through it quickly, I think that makes it a decent bargain. I don't feel like it's made a major difference to the appearance of fine lines, but I do think that it has helped with making the skin in those areas look a little fuller. Is this something that you'd consider including into your routine?
