Review: Maybelline Lifter Stix Multi-Use Face Stick

Happy Monday, my fantastic babes! It's been a very busy few days here at Temporary Princess - I've had a lot of meet ups with friends, and down time on my own, and it's been really filling my cup! While I do tend to prefer time on my own, it's been really lovely seeing the people who matter the most to me, and my heart is very full. And you know what they say - how you feel on the inside translates to how it looks on the outside, and my skin is absolutely glowing right now!

For everything else, there's the Maybelline Lifter Stix Multi-Use Face Stick! We all know that stick foundations/base products aren't new, but we do know that like every other kind of make up, they are constantly evolving, improving and getting better with each incarnation, and for someone who once used the Maybelline stick foundation from the late 90's, I can honestly say that this is nothing like it was, and rather, this is perfect for daily wear, a dream to blend, while feeling like you don't have anything on your face at all!

So, the Maybelline Lifter Stix Multi-Use Face Stick is sold as a creamy multitasking stick that does a whole lot of things, whether you're looking to highlight, conceal or contour - in short, it's basically a one stop shop for anyone looking for something that is easy to blend into the skin and give it a smooth, dewy finish. This does have a very creamy formula, without it feeling like it would slide off the skin, and this is also easy to build on the skin without feeling cakey.

That this comes in the form of a stick makes it the perfect grab and go packaging, which means that this is easy to stuff into your bag, and touch up on the run. It's an opaque tube with a clear pull off cap that makes it easy to gauge how much you have left. I love that this really has a simple, fuss free application, and that it has a luminous finish to let the light hit it at all the right angles. It's light as a feather, and doesn't crease, even with the long hours that I have at work. My preferred way to use this is as a concealer, but I also put this on for a bit of light contouring/bronzing.

My main complaint about this is that this comes in a very limited range, and I hope that they are looking to expand the collection at some point! I find the 20 to be best for lightening, while the 30 to be a match for my skin tone. This retails for $30 for a tube, and it can be found at multiple places, including Priceline, Chemist Warehouse and Adore Beauty. Does this sound like something that you'd try, and if so, how would you use it?
