Review: Arencia Fresh Green Rice Mochi Cleanser

It's officially the middle of the week, and the start of my Easter long weekend! I will say that the one thing about starting a new year would be the sheer number of public holidays that we have, kicking it off with the very first day of the year. Easter is also the most hectic time of year, right after Christmas, and that's because we are faced with the turmoil of things like stores closing over the public holidays, causing confusion to shoppers and visitors to Australia who may be unfamiliar with this, as well as people wanting to catch the last warmth of the season by hitting the beach or going hiking. I'm really more about trying to get away from the familiar chaos by hopping onto a plane, heading onto an adventure.

So, it should come as absolutely no surprise that as you read this, I'm already on a plane and off to my next escape. I know it sounds like I do this a lot, and yes, I kinda do, but my defense, when I bought my tickets to Japan, I didn't have anything else lined up, and I thought that this was what I had to look forward to in April, about 10 months ago. I'm pretty excited to try out a whole bunch of new makeup and skincare that I havent't experienced yet, and I'm hoping that I'll make it to Korea in the next year or so to do the same! In the meantime, I'll have to content myself with dabbling in some skincare by Arencia!

Who is Arencia and why should you know them? This Kbeauty brand is very well known on the internet for exactly the product that we're talking about today, and that's the Fresh Green Rice Mochi Cleanser! you may be more familiar with Mochi as a type of of sweet treat, and you'd be right - bouncy, full and smooth, and this mochi based product aims to leave your skin feeling just like that. Arencia combines traditional ingredients with modern science to innovate and create high quality, ecoconscious products that work. There are about six different 'flavours' available, including green tea (green), calendula (orange), holy hyssop (blue), rosehip extract (pink), black tea (black) and rice ferment (white).

The cleansers are made by kneading and folding to create that bouncy, doughy texture, and without any heat, which is supposed to keep the vitamins and minerals in the material, so that your skin can get the most out of it. The Fresh Green Rice Mochi comes packaged in a light green screw top jar, and is chock full of more than 20 plant-based ingredients to help improve the skin texture, reduce the appearance of blackheads and leave the skin moisturised. This also has small exfoliating beads distributed throughout the cleanser, giving the mochi texture a bit of grit.

Simply scoop out a small portion of the cleanser, and massage it onto the face in circular motions for a minute before rinsing it off. If your skin is too dry, and it's 'grabbing' at the skin, then I would recommend mixing it with a little bit of water. I love that this has a slight green tea scent, and the texture is something that I'm mad about, being that it's all bouncy and slightly sticky, and overall just gorgeous. When I add water to it, it gets a little creamy, and the exfoliating bits in it are subtle and don't irritate the skin. I feel like the skin is a little smoother around my nose, and I'm loving this cleanser - I can see why it's viral! What's your favourite Kbeauty cleanser?
