Review: Lippe Reviving Baume

What I really love about skincare and makeup is that they are always evolving and even when you think that you've tried the best, or the most interesting thing you've ever purchased, either your own skin's needs change, or the industry really serves with something exciting! In short, there's always something different to try, and you never know if you're going to find a new favourite to fall in love with! One such newbie is the Lippe Reviving Baume!

Lip balms are an absolute staple - I think I might have one in just about every handbag, and let me tell you, I have a lot of handbags! I definitely have one in my locker at work, which means that I have it in my work jacket at all times while I'm in clinic, keeping my lips looking chap free and smooth. I also make sure that I have one in my overnight bag, so that I can do my night time routine (because who doesn't have one!), and that includes smothering my hands in hand cream, and my lips in a enriching lip balm, before sliding between the sheets.

The Lippe Reviving Baume has been living on my night stand, and I had no idea of the brand or what to expect before I tried it, and this has been such a revelation! I received this in a gift bag, and I was intrigued by it. Firstly, this is a very inclusive lip balm, given that it's petroleum free, fragrance free, paraben free, BPA free, cruelty free and vegan. This is meant to reduce the appearance of fine lines, while also making the lips look fuller and plumper. It's also supposed to provide long lasting nourishment to the lips, helping to strengthen the skin barrier.

This lip balm has a formula that's infused with Vitamins C and E to help protect and revitalise the skin, and it's also meant to have anti-inflammatory and anti-ageing properties, while having lots of antioxidants to counteract the damage that can be inflicted by free radicals. It comes in this muted pink tube with a screw cap, and a slanted applicator with an opening in the middle - fairly standard as far as lip balms go, but the comparisons stop there.

The lip balm comes out clear, and while it all sounds fairly non-descript to begin with, the proof, as they say, is in the pudding! I love how easily this spreads over the lips without feeling like it's going to slip off. It isn't sticky, oily or unpleasant on the lips at all. Instead, I love that this leaves feeling smooth and moisturised without actually making it feel like there's anything on them at all - it's just the lightest veil of a lip balm, and I wake up with perfect, soft, full and smooth lips each and every morning. I was impressed from the get go, and I'm looking to pick up a spare soon! You can find it over here. What was the last, surprising product that you tried?
