Review: Byoma Phyto-Mucin Glow Serum

I can't believe we've rolled into April already! What happened? When did it happen? What's going on in life? Where am I? I'm kidding about a couple of these things, but truly, it's been crazy, and to reach April already, it's kinda nuts! That said, though, and you didn't hear this from me, it's been kinda nice to break out some cosy tops and get comfy. I mean, Summer is my favourite month, don't get me wrong, and I don't love when it gets cold, and I'm wearing about 5 layers in a house that doesn't have central heating, but goodness, I do love my fluffy blankets and warm sweaters!

What I don't love is waking up with dry, itchy skin because my face has been exposed to the daily elements, leaving it feeling too tight and uncomfortable.  It's about now that I have to switch up my skincare products in order to make sure that I'm weatherproofing my skin, for lack of a better term. So, what does that actually mean? It means that I'm all about keeping my skin really hydrated, and preventing my skin from looking dull and pale.

It also means that I like having a serum that would be able to tackle both those problems for me. I've been trying out the Byoma Phyto-Mucin Glow Serum, which is meant to help your skin glow, while also delivering a healthy dose of hydration. It's advertised as a one-step solution for glass skin, where you can have bouncy, moisturised skin with a better skin barrier. It does so by harnessing a few key ingredients, such as peptides and phytomucin, as well as panthenol, which is an amazing humectant, and something called Barrier Lipid Complex.

This all comes in a pale blue bottle with a pull off cap and firm pump, but it doesn't actually deposit a big amount with each push. Instead, you get out a small clear dollop every time you press down on it, and I find about two pumps to be sufficient for my face and decolletage. It has a bit of a sticky, viscosity to it, but it dries down beautifully without leaving the skin feeling tacky. I love that this doesn't have a scent to it and that it gets absorbed quickly.

This is vegan and cruelty free, which means that anyone can use it. Like with all Byoma products that I've tried, I feel like this is meant to really enhance and protect what you have, and in this case, it's exactly how this serum seems to work for me. It's helping me keep my glow, and my skin seems unbothered by the fluctuations in the weather. It's available at Sephora for just $30, making it quite an affordable serum. What do you love from Byoma?
