Review: No 7 Future Renew Serum and Eye Serum
I sometimes like to spend about five minutes just analysing my skin, especially when I'm straight out of the shower, and my skin is the cleanest it's ever going to be. I like to have a look at my pores and scrutinise my blemishes before nourishing it with my ever expanding skincare routine, just so that I can have an honest review of how my skin is looking over the years. I will say that my parents have gifted me with skin that is excellent, and resilient, and has been something that I've greatly appreciated, particularly as I've gotten older, and that everything else I have ever used on it has simply enhanced that.
I was recently gifted a number of products from the new No 7 Future Renew range, and it has made me embrace my bare skin even more so. The collection is meant to help repair visible signs of skin damage, including the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, as well as assist in smoothing out tone and texture, while also eliminating dry skin and dealing with the reduction in the feeling of elasticity. Powered by something called Pepticology™, this new and patent-pending peptide technology was developed over 15 years and is exclusive to this particular No 7 range.
I very enthusiastically set about trying out the Serum and Eye Serum in the collection, and I have to say, I have not be disappointed by them! The serum comes in a silver bottle with a good pump and a pull off cap, and it comes out as a white serum that really feels like nothing at all on the skin, given that it smooths out easily, and gets absorbed quickly without leave a trace behind. This is also fragrance free, and I find that this has been great at keeping fine lines at bay, and while the skin doesn't feel incredibly moisturised after the use of the serum, my skin isn't feeling as dry as it can during this time of year either.
The eye serum has very similar effects to the serum, with claims that this can help the eye area look less tired, while also reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, uneven tone and texture, as well as dealing with dry skin and the loss of elasticity. This comes in a silver tube with a nozzle that allows for an accurate amount of product to be dispensed each time. It has a creamy, yet light, texture that doesn't take long to get absorbed with a bit of patting.
I love that both products are quite light, and that they leave the skin feeling like you haven't just smooshed a couple of products into your face. I feel like while the eye cream hasn't helped as much with dark eye circles, it does look like the fine lines are a little less obvious. Additionally, the serum has been a lovely addition to my routine - quietly effective without being earth shattering. They are currently available at $68 and $45 respectively and you can find them at Priceline. No 7 hasn't disappointed me with any of their offerings, and I'd love to know your thoughts on the range!
