Review: L'Oreal Revitalift Laser x 3 Deep Anti-Ageing Day Cream

Happy Monday! I used to really hate Mondays when I was a kid, and while I still struggle, some days, to enjoy the start of the week, I don't detest it with the same amount of passion that I once did. These days, it's easier for me to put my best face forward, smile, and keep a positive attitude - until that gets ruined by something or somebody! And do you know what helps with putting my best face forward? Having the best skin I could have!

I've been trying out the L'Oreal Revitalift Laser x 3 Deep Anti-Ageing Day Cream, and it has been a bit of a treat for the skin! This is an easily recognisable product - a heavy red jar with a silvery screw lid that holds approximately 50 ml of product, and retails for around $55. If you feel like this has been around for a while, and that you've seen it on the shelves previously, you'd be right! However, it now has a new formula, so that you can achieve those skin goals that you want to hit!

This promises to smooth the appearance of wrinkles, while also firming the skin and brightening it. The formula contains some excellent active ingredients, including pro-retinol, hyaluronic acid and vitamin C. The pro-retinol is included to help improve the appearance of wrinkles, smoothing the skin over, and helping renew the texture of the skin, while the hyaluronic acid is great for keeping the skin hydrated, resulting it it feeling plumper and fresher.

The addition of vitamin C can help keep the skin looking radiant, so that you can have that good skin glow, while also correcting and improving the skin tone. The cream has a medium consistency, and does have a slight citrus scent to it, which disappears quickly, and doesn't linger on the skin. It spreads over the skin really easily, and I like that this isn't heavy or cloying on the skin, and that it does get absorbed quite well within a short time period.

I have been using this regularly on my skin for the last couple of months, and while I have loved using it, I don't feel like this has been a life changing experience for me. I like that while my skin does feel hydrated as a result of using this, I don't think it's made a big difference to the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. However, I do appreciate that my skin doesn't look dull at this time of year, which is usually when it starts to look a little sad, just like the weather, and that it's still quite plump and hydrated. Overall, while not earth shattering, it has been a positive experience, and the fact that I'm almost at the end of the jar should really tell you something! Which one of these is your favourite active ingredient?
