Review: Be Fraiche Smooth and Glow Exfoliator
When you blog, you see a lot of brands shift in and out of focus, and there have been some really interesting products over the years, as well as some outstanding brands, that I've had the luck to try. A brand that turned up on my radar a while back was Be Fraiche, and when I picked up their Smooth and Glow Exfoliator recently, I was excited to see that it's absolutely gorgeous, better than it once was, and I'm so happy to talk about them here today!
The Smooth and Glow Exfoliator is designed as a 2-in-1 face scrub and mask, and this contains fruit extracts, such as pineapple, bilberry, sugarcane, orange, lemon and sugar maple, to help gently dissolve and remove dead skin cells, allowing for fresh skin to come through, leaving the skin feeling soft, rejuvenated and renewed. It can also help clarify skin though the combination of adzuki beans and bamboo powder, which, together, can help draw out impurities and bacteria, which can cause blemishes, which also gently exfoliating the skin and promoting blood flow and circulation.
Rather than sticking to using this as an exfoliator, you can also apply it to the skin and leave it for 5 minutes before washing it off, letting it work it's magic with ingredients such as sweet almond oil and olive oil, as well as antioxidants, so that your skin can stay soft and clear with a nice bounce to it. This comes packaged in a white jar with a pink label and a screw cap.
When you open it, you're faced with a product that is reminiscent of yoghurt - a creamy orangey pink, with little fleck of what looks almost like strawberry seeds throughout it. To use this as an exfoliator, simply wet your face and apply a pea-sized amount of this all over the skin. Loaded with the essential oils of sweet orange, ylang-ylang and geranium, this is lightly scented and it gives you a chance to really soak in the benefits of the exfoliator while also basking in the fragrance.
This has a very mildly gritty feel to it, and it is otherwise quite smooth, and certainly doesn't make me feel like it does any physical exfoliation at all. I haven't had the pleasure of using it as a mask yet, because I've been really enjoying it as an exfoliator this whole time, but I plan to give it a try at some time! Sitting at $45, I feel like the price tag does reflect the worth of the product, and you can find it over here. Have you tried anything from Be Fraiche before?
