Review: Aveeno Daily Moisturising Oil Mist

Happy Sunday, my gorgeous babes! It's even more delicious today, because tomorrow is a public holiday, and you know what that means! A long weekend means more time for self care, means more time for relaxation and more time to lean into #sluglyf! It does also mean that I get the chance to deal with some life admin stuff, organise my trips away, and help out around the house. In between all that, I'll be slinking around at home with a face mask on, while also staying wonderfully moisturised with my Aveeno Daily Moisturising Oil Mist.

In a failed bid to steer clear of Priceline for a little while, because I've been trying to save money, I picked up the Aveeno Daily Moisturising Oil Mist when I popped in store to get their fabulous skincare gift with purchase bag, and this caught my eye. Having had some success with Aveeno previously and their skin soothing products, I was keen to give the Aveeno Daily Moisturising Oil Mist, which comes in clear plastic bottle with a pull off cap, containing 200 ml of product.

It has a good pump, which, while not particularly misting, as the name would suggest, it doesn't clog, and it allows for a decent amount to come out with each pump. That said, it can be tricky to hold onto this without it slipping out of my grasp while trying to push down on the pump, after already coming in contact with some oil, but I suspect that it's simply a coordination issue when it comes to me! This smells really yummy - a scent that I can't quite place, but is lovely - and while it starts off relatively oily on the skin, given that it does have a watery consistency, this actually does dry down quite nicely.

This has been formulated with oat oil, which is meant to help keep the skin soothed, moisturised and calm as it's rich in lipids and fatty acids, and there is also jojoba oil, which is brimming with vitamin E - so much so that it actually has twice what shea butter has! As with the rest of the range, this is hypoallergenic and suitable for babes with sensitive skin. It sounds so wonderfully simple, in terms of ingredients, but honestly, it's so good, and my skin is absolutely loving it!

I love how smooth and nourished my skin feels every time I use it. It's not quite a dry oil, but it dries down well enough for me to get dressed easily without it dragging on my skin. This has a  really budget friendly price tag and can be found at a wide variety of retailers, from Woolworths to Chemist Warehouse and Priceline, which means that while it does retail for about $18, this can often be found on sale somewhere, so make sure you shop around to find the best price! My top tip for moisturising your skin is to get it straight onto the skin right after you're out of the shower, when your skin is a little damp. Do you moisturise daily?
