Brand Focus: P'URE Papayacare
So, as you may know, I grew up in South East Asia, and tropical fruits are totally delicious. I mean, I can't go back to see my folks without putting in a few requests for the fruit that I love. Some of these may be hard to come by, but there are others, such as the humble papaya, which is heavily featured today, that can be found here in Australia, and they are just as sweet and delicious as they are back home. Given that they are good for digestion, rich in antioxidants and Vitamin C, it should come as no surprise that they are a great inclusion in skincare!
In fact, it's so good, it's the main feature of the brand, P'URE Papayacare! I was previously introduced to the brand a while back, and I like what I tried from it, so I was elated when I was asked to try out their revamped products, and I was sent a decent chunk of the range! I was sent their Facial Cleanser, Face and Neck Lotion, Eye Serum, Glow Rejuvenating Face Oil, Ointment, Skin Food, Lips, Lip Shield and Lips Rescue Balm, so let's dive in and talk about the benefits of these products!
Lips is of course a lipbalm, and it contains nourishing ingredients, such as papaya, shea butter, macadamia and jojoba, as well as candelilla wax, which acts as a barrier to help prevent moisture loss. If your lips are suffering a little more than usual, then the Lips Rescue Balm may be better for you. It has all the benefits of the above, as well as the added bonus of lemon, lime and peppermint oils to help exfoliate and renew the lips, while also having some antibacterial and antiviral properties. Next, the Lip Shield is what you might pick, if you were looking to spend some time outdoors, and wanted a bit of help in staying sunsafe on the lips. This has papaya, shea butter, zinc and hibiscus, as well as a subtle berry flavour.
The Ointment and Skin Food are arguably the two most versatile products they have in their stable, and it's really not hard to see why. They both contain a blend of papaya and calendula, which means that it can help exfoliate old skin, while the calendula is responsible for soothing and healing skin, resulting in softer and happier skin. I love using the Ointment for trickier, rougher patches that need a bit more TLC, and this is also great for chapped lips! The Facial Cleanser has all the ingredients of Skin Food, but comes out as a foam that cleanses the skin beautifully, resulting in refreshed skin that feels soft and smooth.
You can follow this up with the Face and Neck Lotion, which has papaya, calendula, chamomile and hyaluronic acid, to help moisturise the skin, while reducing redness and blemishes. The Eye Serum and Glow Rejuvenating Face Oil are the two products that I have currently put aside for testing on their own, and I can't wait to be surprised by them! If you're after a brand that doesn't break the bank and delivers papaya based goodness, then you need to look into P'URE Papayacare! This is now available at Big W! What are you most keen on trying?
