Review: Evereden Golden Body Serum

There is something wonderfully hypnotic about applying body oil to freshly cleansed skin that has just been patted down with a towel, which allows for the skin to absorb the oil all the better, don't you think? Like it wraps up the day, you know? Washing all of the frustrations and stresses of the day away, before cocooning yourself in the silky and soft embrace of a body oil that can keep you moisturised and your skin looking beautiful.

Personal musings aside, however, I feel like this step, the one where I replenish and nourish the skin after washing the day off me, is one of my favourite moments, because it's another one where I can pause, think and regroup, and it always helps when the body oil I'm using at the moment is one that I really love. Evereden has definitely been instrumental in helping me reset my mind at the end of a very long day, and here's why.

First off, if you haven't heard of Evereden, it's a brand that includes a trio of doctors, dermatologists, to be exact, who also happen to be mothers, as part of the team that is responsible for producing the beautiful products. The range extends from products that are suitable for babies, to toddlers, and to mothers, but as we all know, there are no rules when it comes to skincare, and as someone who is childfree, I can definitely recommend their Golden Body Serum!

Designed as an oil to help smooth, brighten, hydrate and improve the texture and tone of the skin, this blend is suitable for all skin types, as well as pregnant/breastfeeding and vegan babes. It includes vitamin C to add radiance to the skin, as well as bakuchoil, which is a retinol alternative, to help combat signs of ageing by toning, tightening and smoothing the skin. There is also red tourmaline extract to boost and restore the glow, as well as microalgae, which is steeped in polyunsaturated fatty acids to help tighten and tone the skin.

This comes in a pump bottle that has a little valve you can turn on and off by swivelling it from side to side, which means that if you have tiny hands at home that like to grab everything, they might at least find it harder to actually waste this if they were to get their hands on it! This has a mild rose scent, which is beautiful on the skin, and it's a dry oil, which means that shortly after application, this does get absorbed in a flash. It retails for $82 for 100ml, and you can find it at Sephora. Have you tried anything from Evereden before?
