New Release: Batiste Naturally Dry Shampoo Range

There's a good chance that you already know how much I like Batiste products - I mean, who else is time poor here? And who else occasionally doesn't get the chance to wash their hair when they want to, and ends up having to pay for it by having greasy locks and an uncomfortable scalp? Well, if you answered a very definitive yep to both of those questions, then there's a good chance you've used dry shampoo before - and probably regularly, would be my guess!

You can imagine my excitement when I realised that Batiste was releasing something a little different to what it's done previously, and with the name of the range being Batiste Naturally, it is, you guessed it, a collection of dry shampoos made with 100% natural extracts. They have a vegan formula, as well as an invisible finish. This is currently available in three different scents - Coconut Milk and Hemp Seed Oil, Green Tea and Chamomile and Bamboo Fibre and Gardenia, and these all offer something a little bit different.

The Coconut Milk and Hemp Seed Oil dry shampoo is designed to help calm frizz and tame flyaways, so that you can have a more polished finish. This is also supposed to help keep the locks hydrated, and it uses coconut milk, coconut husks, salt, melon and birch as the ingredients. If you're looking to give your hair a bit more oomph, and particularly if you have fine hair that tends towards being flat, then the Bamboo Fibre and Gardenia dry shampoo may be what you need. This harnesses the fragrance of cucumber, bergamot and lemon for a floral explosion, and bamboo fibre and musk to refresh the hair.

If you're feeling a little indecisive, and don't have a specific issue that you're looking to manage, then grab the Green Tea and Chamomile dry shampoo to juzz things up. This has a mix of sandalwood and herbal notes, and will have your hair feeling refreshed in seconds. They use rice starch to absorb the excess oils, and these also use 40% less packaging (which is also recyclable) when compared to the original 200ml Batiste

These sit at $15 a bottle, and can now be found at various retailers, including Woolworths, I'm happy to see a major dry shampoo company, particularly one that sells 1.1 cans every 10 seconds here in Australia, to be taking a step in the right direction. The next time you're thinking of helping to save the environment by saving water and not washing your hair, make sure you check out Batiste's latest offerings! What's your favourite Batiste product?
