Review: The Jojoba Company Transformative Eye Serum

The Jojoba Company is definitely one of those brands that if you haven't tried anything from their range by now, you really need to remedy that! I'm going to come right out and say that you really can't go wrong with trying just about any of their products, but if you're in the market for a new eye serum/cream, then this is certainly one that you should think of adding to your must try list.

This serum comes in a glass bottle with a dropper/applicator combination, and it's a very unique one that I've never seen before. There is a round metal ball shaped applicator, with a hole in the middle, so that you can get the serum out of it as you roll it around on the skin. This makes it a two for one - helping to reduce the puffiness under the eyes while also massaging the product into your skin. It also has the added benefit of reducing redness, inflammation and help brighten dull skin. Helpful and clever - I love it when brands come up with stuff like this!

The serum itself is brilliant. This aims to slow down skin ageing, reducing the appearance of crow's feet, puffiness and dark circles. It contains a peptide that minimises muscle contractions, which can in turn prevent the formation of a wrinkle. It's meant to help brighten and refresh the skin, while also reducing eye puffiness and dark circles. There is also a polysaccharide, derived from honey locust plant seeds, that is meant to work like a filler, to  smooth out the wrinkles, while tightening and lifting the skin.

There is also Summer snowflake bulb extract to help relax the facial muscles, acting as a safe and temporary alternative to botox. Last but not least, there is also jojoba leaf extract, of course, which helps to improve skin barrier and function, resulting in better skin structure. So, how exactly do you use this eye serum? You start by doing a figure of eight, apparently!

Basically, you begin by placing this on the skin to the outside of your eye, dip under the eye, moving over the bridge of the nose, over the brow, back down the outside of the other eye, under that eye, and back across the bridge of the nose and over the brow. There you have it - a figure of eight! This leaves you with a trail of serum that you can tap into the skin, and it leaves me looking more well rested, with brighter eyes and smoother skin. The serum is light, and gets absorbed in a flash, and for $59.95, this is well worth it! Head to their website to read more about it! What's your favourite product from them?
