Review: Swisse Hyaluronic B5 Hydrating Water Cream
I'm falling for Fall this year, and no one can tell me otherwise! I'm generally not a great one for transitional weather - the weather can be unpredictable, swinging like an out of control pendulum from being a sweltering hot and humid day, where everything is sticking to your skin, to having frigid winds blow right through you the moment the sun sets, turning the warm blood in your veins to ice, making it hard to feel your face and fingers.
At the moment, though, Autumn has been wonderful here! Yes, we've had some really warm and sticky days, but the nights have been pleasant, rather than the plunging temperatures I feel like we've had in previous years. I'm sure my feelings about it will change as soon as I have to break out my heater and my face feels like sandpaper, but until then, I'm going to enjoy it, and at least I have my Swisse Hyaluronic B5 Hydrating Water Cream to keep my skin happy!
The Swisse Hyaluronic B5 Hydrating Water Cream's primarily designed to help keep the skin hydrated, with the secondary benefit of providing moisture barrier protection over time. Aside from helping your skin withstand environmental irritants and stressors, a better skin barrier also means not losing as much moisture from the skin, which means it stays hydrated for longer, which means it all leads back to what it's really designed for.
This comes in a small dark jar containing 50g of product, and the screw cap keeps it all firmly inside. The cream is exactly as described - it is a water cream, in that it has a very light, smooth texture, while still having the properties of a cream. This doesn't hold an obvious fragrance, and I love that this gets absorbed in a flash, leaving the skin feeling smooth, and not at all greasy or tacky. This has been the perfect cream for the slight drop in temperature, and fantastic for the super hot days.
It also hasn't been interacting with any other products I've been using, making it perfect at the cream beneath my sunscreen, and a great night cream for the hot and sticky nights. It's a beautiful cream that's easy to love, and when you can find it on sale from $29.99, it feels like an absolute steal. This is available at various retailers, including Chemist Warehouse, and you can read all about it over on their website. Are you a fan of water/gel creams?
