Brand Focus: Glad2Glow

Like plenty of other Australians, I headed to one of the most popular holiday destinations earlier this year on a little solo trip, and the beauty blogger in me couldn't resist picking up a few bits and bobs to write up! I was in one of my favourite Indonesian makeup stores, Sociolla, which always has something fun, including brands that do cute collabs with shows like Powerpuff Girls and plenty of different products from a variety of Asian and even Aussie brands, and I grabbed a few pieces from a brand that caught my eye - Glad2Glow!

I'm not entirely sure where Glad2Glow comes from, although I do think that it might be Indonesia, but I can say this - it has a very budget friendly price point, and overall, it works quite well, so hang tight, and I'll go through everything that I grabbed, and why it's something that I think you should try, if you're ever able to get your hands on them! I get the impression that it's a collection that's targets a younger audience, probably sitting somewhere in their teens to twenties, but as someone who no longer falls in that age range, I've been very pleased with it!

To get a good idea across the range, I picked up five products, including the Pomegranate Niacinamide Brightening Clay Mask, Peach Retinol Moisturiser, Centella Salicylic Acid Acne Gel Cleanser, Volcanic Clay Mask Stick and Yuja Symwhite 377 Dark Spot Serum, covering products across the different active ingredients in the brand. The first thing I tried, the Volcanic Clay Mask Stick, still remains my favourite of the brand! It's exactly like it sounds, a mask in tube form that you can twist at the bottom to push up as you go along. This mask is smooth, and relatively mess free, and has a really pretty scent to it. This doesn't dry down, but instead, it sits on the skin comfortably, and once washed off, my skin feels soft and smooth.

In contrast, the Pomegranate Niacinamide Brightening Clay Mask, which you can either spread with your fingers or the provided spatula, smells like a different sort of delicious, and can be applied without too much fuss. I love that this does help with adding a bit of a glow, and given that the tub is quite small, it looks to be the perfect size for my attention span! My skin has had a bit of a blemish issue recently, and it was the right time for me to break out the Centella Salicylic Acid Acne Gel Cleanser, thanks to my breakouts. This has been great for the hot, oily days, and the unhappy clogged pores. I focus on the skin around my nose and hairline when I use this, which is where I tend to have the most issues.

The Peach Retinol Moisturiser is a great way to finish the day - it comes in this magenta jar with a screw cap, and the moisturiser starts off relatively thick, but spreads beautifully over the skin. It doesn't feel like there's a layer of residue left behind, and while I don't think that this particularly elevates my skin, it feels a great entry level retinol infused cream. Last, but not least, is the Yuja Symwhite 377 Dark Spot Serum, which is this glowy little serum that gets absorbed in a flash, and I don't know that I've noticed a big difference in the hyperpigmentation that I have, but it's pleasant, nonetheless! Overall, it's a fun range, and I think we can all find something that would suit our skin type at a price point that wouldn't break the bank. Have you tried anything from Glad2Glow?
