Review: Tocca Giuletta Dry Body Oil

I love that we can actually feel Summer coming! I'm not a big fan of transitional weather - I like it either hot or cold, and I'd take hot over cold any day, but I can't stand it when it flip flops and can't decide what the weather is going to be like. Not only does it make it impossible to actually get dressed so you can leave the house (good excuse to stay inside!), this can also really dry out my skin, resulting in rough patches everywhere.

Thankfully, given that I'm an absolute maniac when it comes to moisturising, my skin doesn't end up suffering as much as it would otherwise. At least, that's what I tell myself when I click add to cart one more time, and hand my credit card details (totally committed to memory, naturally) to them. When I spotted the Tocca Giuletta Dry Body Oil on the Mecca website recently, that was exactly what I HAD to do, and here are my thoughts on the product.

This comes in a glass bottle with a misting sort of spray that can get you to mistake this for a bottle of perfume, so make sure you place it in the right spot and always check the label before you pick this up and spritz it! The fragrance is that of pink tulips, green apple and vanilla orchid - in other words, it's very much a floral bouquet that is perfect for seeing in the warmer months.

As for the packaging it itself, the spray releases small amount of product each time, which is the only major drawback for me, as I would prefer to have enough to cover a larger surface area with each pump. That said, though, the body oil is deliciously light, and more of a silky veil on the skin, kissing the skin with hydration, and leaving it soft, not oily, and with the lightest of luminous glows, allowing the soft scent of flowers and a hint of apple to hang around.

Aside from being an indulgent treat for the senses, this also has argan and jojoba oils as part of the ingredients, which are full of antioxidants, as well as vitamin E. This is something you can use in lieu of a perfume, if you're after a subtle but noticeable fragrance, or if you're simply looking for something uplifting for your spirits and skin. This can be found at Mecca for $81. What are you loving for your skin?

  1. Great to read that a body oil can be so light and absorbable. I should really get into a daily body moisturising routine after my showers and baths. The trouble I am used to encountering is that product takes long to absorb and leaves a greasy residue on my skin that then stains my bedsheets when I turn in for the night. Time to try something new!
