Review: Raww Superfood Infused Beauty Pomegranate Complexion Primer

Primers make all the difference in the world when it comes to setting the tone (of your face) and while these were previously relegated to the 'optional' shelf when I started playing with makeup, as I grew older, I came to realise that it's not as much optional as it is a necessity. Primers are now, and have been for years, a part of my regular makeup rotation, and I have absolutely fallen head over heels for this little beauty, the Raww Superfood Infused Beauty Pomegranate Complexion Primer!

Let's talk about Raww! I've been a huge fan of the brand from the start, and it's really nice to see them back on the blog! This cruelty free, Australian-made range harnesses the goodness of superfoods to create some gorgeous skincare and makeup products. They have now dropped their pomegranate range, and while I'm totally obsessed with their super fluffy Complexion Kabuki Brush, the Pomegranate Complexion Primer is where the range really shines!

The formula is infused with pomegranate seed oil, of course, and this is supposed to have anti-ageing properties. It does this through acting as an anti-inflammatory to help in skin repair, while also increasing collagen production. It's also mean to protect again UV damage, as well as environmental pollutants. Included in this primer is bamboo extract, which has strengthening and soothing  properties. Niacinamide is also in the formula, and this is great for reducing inflammation, improving the skin barrier, and helping to retain moisture in the skin.

Other ingredients of note include kakadu plum seed oil, jojoba esters and vitamin E, all of which can really help with the keeping the skin happy, bright and soft. This comes housed in a pink tube with a pump that releases just the right amount of primer to cover the face. It dries down to leave a barely there tackiness on the skin that allows it to grip the foundation and everything else on top of that really nicely. This works beautifully on it's own to give the skin a slight luminous sheen, but also mixes quite well with liquid illuminator to really boost that glow.

This retails for a very reasonable $34.99 for 30 ml of product, and you can find it online over here. I love that this is a makeup product that is more like skincare, while also doing that it advertises - act as a primer for your makeup. It certainly helps in extending the lifespan of my makeup, and the skin loving qualities don't hurt either! I would definitely recommend this for anyone looking to try a decent primer! What have you tried from Raww?
