Review: Revlon All In Tubing Mascara

Happy Sunday, my kittens! I'm so looking forward to a day of doing absolutely nothing, except for a bit of hunkering down here in my house, then making myself a bit of lunch, doing the laundry and going to the gym... Oh wait, I don't think that's doing nothing, but will be me in my happy zone, and that's a good thing! I think that being a slug is my favourite place to be, and do you know what one of my other favourite things is? A damn good mascara, and given that I get my lashes regularly lifted, it's super easy to spot a great mascara now. I can honestly say that my lashes are far more impressive with an excellent mascara, and my current love is the Revlon All In Tubing Mascara!

For those of you who are still way more into traditional mascaras, I would love to hear some recommendations from you guys, because as much as I love those old school mascaras, I always feel like there has to be something bigger, something grander, right around the corner. I mean, that's the whole point of being a beauty blogger, constantly searching for the next Holy Grail, am I right? Although, I'll be honest, I don't know how you can improve on something that's as excellent as tubing mascaras, particularly when you take into account all the benefits of tubing mascaras, which seriously outweigh those of traditional mascaras for me, and if you aren't convinced yet, hear me out.

The whole idea of a tubing mascara is that it creates these little lightweight tubes around each lash as you brush mascara through the lashes, so that you can get some additional degree of length, volume, hold and just general oomph, if you get my drift. The formula basically contains polymers that wrap around each lash, giving it maximum length, as well as copernica cerrifera wax which can add shine for that glossy finish, as well as include beeswax to help keep the lashes feeling soft. Best of all, the formula binds to the lashes, so it doesn't flake and despite this, it's really easy to remove with just warm water. Are you with me yet?

All you have to do is wiggle the wand from side to side as you're brushing it through your lashes, and repeat this as many times as you'd like to, in order to give yourself the necessary amount of volume and length that you're after. I find about five strokes of this to properly cover my lashes, and I love that this does have some hold to it, and that it makes my lashes look longer and thicker, all while helping me keep that curve without letting it drop. It also doesn't clump, and there is absolutely no smudging. Additionally, there isn't a scent to it, which some mascaras have had in the past. The best part, of course, is that this is an excellent lazy girl mascara, because this comes off with so little effort!

You simply have to remove this by working some warm water through the lashes, and voila! Like magic, this just comes away from the lashes. This is currently available in two different shades - black and brown, and it's available for $23.99 at various retailers, but of course, being Revlon, it means you can often find it on sale! Aside from this being a very dark black and the other reasons stated above, I also think that I like this a lot because the wand has a nice curve to it, as well as a tapered end, ensuring that I can get each and every lash. What's your favourite tubing mascara?
