Review: Olay Luminous Niacinamide + Rose Complex Cream
Living in a major city in Australia is good for a lot of things, except for stress. I mean, if you're looking to head out on a whim on a week night, you'll almost always find something fun to do. Additionally, if you somehow manage to run out of skincare, you'd probably be able to locate 24 hour or late night store, so that you won't spend one evening without face cream. And of course, there are more options than you can shake a stick at! And when all else fails, when you have too many options to pick up, falling back on an old, reliable brand can be very handy, and Olay is one of those brands for me.
For a quick recap on what I've covered from Olay, you can see them over here, here, here, here, here, here, here and here. As you might be able to tell, it's a brand that I've been using for years, and one that seems to resonate quite well with me. Affordable and dependable, Olay has been around for so long that multiple generations have used the brand, and it's not hard to see why. The Olay Luminous Niacinamide + Rose Complex Cream has a formula that's enriched with Niacinamide, also known as Vitamin B3, and this is meant to help strengthen the skin barrier and improve skin texture. Niacinamide is also supposed to reduce the appearance of pigmentation and even out skin tone.
There's also Rose Complex in the formula, which is meant to give the skin a hydration boost, leaving the skin feeling refreshed and soft. Together, they're supposed to help visibly reduce the appearance of dark spots and pigmentation, improve the luminosity of the complexion, as well as hydrating the skin without leaving it feeling greasy. It's said to be suitable for all skin types, and meant to be easy to layer, while also getting absorbed quickly.
I've been using the Olay Luminous Niacinamide + Rose Complex Cream twice daily for the last few weeks, and Olay really does bring it when it comes to their face creams! This comes in a jar that would be very familiar to people who use their products - a hefty jar with a silver screw cap. The cream has a bouncy gel texture, and it is very light and easy to spread over the skin. I find that I can't go too heavy with it, as it's so light that it gets absorbed really fast, and it just leave my skin feeling moisturised, without feeling clogged.
I love that this is really comfortable on my skin, and it keeps my face feeling moisturised throughout the day, even when it's quite dry outside. I don't feel like it's made a big difference to the pigmentation, but it does seem to keep my skin looking radiant. It's a very likeable cream, and I can definitely see myself finishing the whole jar! This retails for $59.99 for 50 ml of product, and it's available where Olay can be found, including retailers like Priceline. It also occasionally goes on sale, so make sure you keep an eye out if you're keen! What's the last Olay product you used?
