Brand Focus: Ultra Violette

With us being away at our yearly country music festival this weekend - hands up, all y'all country fans - there is never a better time to talk about sunscreen and staying sun safe. The sheer number of people in the crowd that I can see with frighteningly red and inflamed skin is enough to inspire me to run straight to the first melanoma clinic. I will admit to occasionally getting a little scorched, but overall, I try my best to stay as protected as possible, and I'm here to talk about a brand whose claim to fame is all about sun protection.

Ultra Violette is the brain child of the creators, Ava Matthews and Bec Jefferd, this made in Australia brand promises not to pill, ball or shine. They have expanded their range of sunscreen products to include four facial sunscreens, and these go from their Luminising Serum Sunscreen, which is a lightweight, rose scented product that provides a glowy finish, while also containing SPF 50+, to their only SPF 30+ product, the Clean Screen, which is a fragrance free weightless gel.

The other two sunscreens in the collection are featured today, and these are the Supreme Screen Hydrating Sunscreen, which has SPF 50+, and promises to be suitable for all skin types, while also hydrating the skin, all without adding a white cast to the face, and the other being Lean Screen Mattifying Zinc Skinscreen. This is a zinc only mineral SPF 50+ product that is fragrance free and meant to give you a matte finish.

These all come in similar packaging, aside from the Luminising Serum Sunscreen, which comes in a glass bottle with a dropper applicator. They are otherwise uniformed in their blue tubes with colour coded caps so you can tell them apart at a glance. Given the different types of sunscreens, the range is wide enough to suit all skin types and meet specific needs.

You can choose from the finish that you're after, to picking for the skin type that you have. And after all that, if facial sunscreen isn't what you're after, and you'd prefer to protect specific areas, such as your lips, or body and hands, then they've got you covered (quite literally) too! For more information on their goodies, head to their website, here if you're after zinc sunscreen, here if you're looking at face sunscreen and here if you're specifically wanting SPF 50. Do you use SPF daily?
