Review: Hask Argan Oil Repairing Shampoo, Conditioner and Hair Oil

We love Sundays here at Temporary Princess! It's the one day that the clinic is always shut, so there aren't any actual clinical duties, aside from checking in on patients who are already in hospital, and when I can actually enjoy my time in clinic with the cats, while not having to worry about running into consults and emergencies or having to pick up the phone. In other words, even if I have to go to work on Sunday, when we're shut, it's still a blissful paradise, compared to a normal work day. And if I'm not working on the day, then it's the perfect time to marinate in my skincare and haircare!

It's a repair day all around, and what better time to talk about repair than now, when I'm looking at the Hask Argan Oil Repairing range? It feels a little strange that despite having been a long term Hask hair product user (does anyone remember the Greek Yoghurt collection?), it's actually the first time I'm covering their Argan Oil Shampoo and Conditioner duo, which, frankly feels like an iconic pair! I won't even link all the other Hask reviews I've done in the past, mainly because we don't have the space for it, but I will leave my most recent post here, also because it's relevant to what we're talking about today.

So, why should you be adding this duo to your cart the next time you're shopping around for a new shampoo and conditioner? These are said to be suitable for babes with dry, damaged hair, as it's meant to strengthen and restore it. These are also meant to control frizz and flyaways, while repairing damage and breakage. They come in the classic, cylindrical tall bottles that can be found across the brand, accompanied by a push down lid that reveals a small opening, allowing an easily controlled amount of product to be squeezed out each time.

The shampoo is light on my hair, and doesn't cause it to feel overly cleansed, or dry. The conditioner is just as lightweight, and never makes my strands feel greasy or uncomfortable, no matter how much I use. I have found these to make my hair look reasonably voluminous, and I love that this actually looks better the day after I've washed it, with a bit of oomph and body. I don't like it does as much for my split ends as I'd like for it to, but I do feel like it helps with frizz near the roots.

Sadly, I don't think this has much of a scent to it. Also, on days when I need a bit of an additional boost to the tresses, I like to smother my hair in the Argan Oil Repair Deep Conditioner, which comes both as a sachet and in a bottle, so you can always try the smaller packet before committing to something bigger. And of course, where would I be without the Hair Oil? I could sing it from the mountain tops - their hair oils are my absolute favourite and staple! These are lightweight, don't make my hair greasy and instead, is just full of TLC for the strands. If you want to try one thing from Hask, make it one of their hair oils! These can be found at multiple retailers, including Priceline and Woolworths. What's your most pressing hair need?
