Review: Bobbi Brown Skin Corrector Stick
The countdown is now officially on! I'm about to get onto a plane very soon, and I'll be heading out to not one, not two, but three places that I've actually never been before! To say that I'm excited would be a massive understatement. Like, I don't think even I could comprehend how very incredibly exciting this is for me. I'm just hoping that my stomach works well throughout all of this - no matter where I travel in the world, my stomach can occasionally be a little erratic when new things are introduced. It even got upset one time when I went to the UK - I mean, I didn't think the food there was anything too crazy, and yet, my stomach did not appreciate it!
But you know what? I'm going to go into my holiday looking bright eyed and bushy tailed after working my absolutely butt off, and that's because I've just recently discovered the lovely Bobbi Brown Skin Corrector Stick, and this stuff is gorgeous! What exactly is the Skin Corrector Stick, and how does that differ from a regular concealer? This is a colour correction that comes in the form of a stick, which glides over the skin smoothly to neutralise discolouration and brighten dark circles.
This is said to have a creamy, buildable formula that's meant to blend into the skin easily, and it boasts the ability to sit on the skin for 12 hours, all while not creasing, or settling, or caking. It's also said to be waterproof, while being sweat and humidity resistant. This comes packaged in a slim tube that you have to twist to get the product out. It only takes a couple of swipes to spread this evenly over my skin, and this is really easy to blend into the skin - it honestly just takes a few taps with my blending cushion to fade it out effortlessly.
I love that this does a great job at colour correcting the dark eye circles that I sport regularly, and I also love that this serves as an excellent prep for my concealer. It contains coffee seed extract to help keep the area moisturised, while salicornia plumps the skin, helping it look smoother. This doesn't end up looking cakey, and true to it's claims, this also seems to sit well on the skin without creasing, which means that it ends up looking quite smooth and natural.
I never really thought about using a colour corrector until I started using this - I know they've been available for a long time, but it wasn't until now, when I accidentally ordered this instead of a concealer, that I actually gave it a go, and you know what? It's pretty awesome, and I can't fault this product. It's available currently for $60, and it can be found where Bobbi Brown is available, including Mecca, David Jones and Adore Beauty.
