Review: Natralus Softening Hand Wash And Lotion

Happy Monday, y'all! It's been so nice to have a bit of time to switch off - I hope you all managed to do the same, and if you haven't had the chance to, I hope you're scheduled in to take a breather very soon. Sometimes, my mind gets very busy, and I don't quite decompress as much as I would like to, and it takes me running away to parts unknown (to other people - I know where I'm going!) to actually clear my mind. In the meantime, however, if you can't get away, make sure you're actually slicing out some time for yourself during the day, so that you can at least pause for a moment and fill your cup, even if it's just by a little bit.

If your day feels so full, you can't quite figure out where to start with carving out some time for yourself, look at the necessary moments that everyone has to have. Using myself as an example, when I'm on a 12 hour shift, it can sometimes be relentless, but even though I'm running from one case to the next, I still need to use the washroom. While I'm washing my hands, I do try to take a beat to center myself, and it helps if I actually have a good hand wash. It's a whole textural situation, and a bit of aromatherapy, if it's appropriately scented.

It's been really nice to see Natralus back on my shelf! If you've been following this blog for a while, you might be very familiar with them - they were a massive part of the Temporary Princess back in the eday, and it's so lovely to know that they are still so consistently excellent! I've been using their Softening Hand Wash and Softening Lotion, and they've been an absolute delight! I can say that with confidence, as I wrote about this duo, in a different scent, back in 2022, which you can read over here. I received this duo in Tangerine, Fig and Berries, but honestly, I would have been happy with any of them. I mean, doesn't the blend of Rose, Lilly Pilly and Berries sound divine to you? And I can attest for Lemon Myrtle, Kakadu Plum and Berries being wonderfully refreshing!

So, how does this compare to what I loved back then? I can safely say I love it as much as I did then! The cleanser is mild, and while it does lather up a little bit, it doesn't do it heavily, seeing as it's free of sulphates. This includes cleansing ingredients derived from coconut oil, so it doesn't dry the hands, helping the skin to stay moisturised instead. The Hand and Body Lotion is the perfect follow up to the Softening Hand Wash. Carrying the same sweet, creamy scent of figs and orange blossom, with a slightly zesty tangerine zing, the lotion helps you to carry the scent with you throughout the day.

The lotion comes out thick and white, but despite that, it is really easy to spread over the skin, and when massaged into the skin, it get absorbed in just under a minute. This truly doesn't leave a greasy slick on the skin. Instead, it makes my hands and body feel soft and smooth, and I love that I can put my clothes on without it dragging over my skin. I love that these are vegan and eco friendly still, and they are very affordable, with the lotion sitting at around $17, and the hand wash being around $12. Alternatively, you can get the pair for about $28. Find out all about them over here. Is this a duo you'd try?
