Review: Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin E Mask
It's the middle of the week, and I've landed home safely, and while you're reading this, I'm probably sleeping in, and being a lump, lamenting the fact that I have to go back to work the following day. It's also at this point that I'm looking forward to my next trip (yay!), because there's no time like the present to plan my next getaway! Meanwhile, however, it's time for my skin to rest, and rejuvenate and get all plump and hydrated before I get on another flight.
So, how do we achieve glowy, bright skin that looks ready for your next adventure? It all depends on your skincare, of course! I've been using one of the most interesting face masks I've ever tried, and it's so good, I think I'm ready to buy another jar of it now that I'm almost halfway down the jar. This innovative little thing is a multipurpose product that can be used in three different ways, and has a lot of claims to it's name.
It's said to help brighten the appearance of the skin tone and texture, as well as improve skin elasticity. This is also meant to help hydrate the skin and work in a synergistic manner to enhance the effectiveness of Vitamin C. You can choose to use this as a moisturiser, a mask that you place onto the skin for 10 to 15 minutes to give it a hydration boost, or even use it as a sleep pack, so that you can achieve that good glow overnight.
There are some solid and reassuring key ingredients in this mask, particularly Vitamin E, which can help condition and moisturise the skin, while also having antioxidant and antiinflammatory properties, keeping the skin soothed and nourished. It also has niacinamide in it, which can help strengthen the skin barrier, while also smoothing the skin texture and tone, controlling sebum production and combating free radicals. This comes in a screw top jar that has a really awesome jelly-like consistency. You simply scoop out your desired amount, and with a bit of friction, this thins out easily and spreads nicely over the skin.
It seems to solidify in the jar again once it's given time to settle, giving it that bouncy, smooth texture in the container. This mask is supposed to to be suitable for all skin types, but particularly great if you're a babe with dry skin. My preferred way to use it is as a one off mask for when my skin is feeling a little dry, or overnight when I want to let my skincare work while I'm resting. It's just a little something to help my skin feel more moisturised and resilient - in other words, the perfect in between flights mask! This retails for around $45 for 90ml and can be found at multiple retailers. Do you have a mask or particular product you reach for when your skin has been exposed to a lot of cabin air?
