New Release: Recreation Beauty All Over Body And Hair Mists

Welcome to the first day of Autumn! It's going to feel like it's still Summer here in Australia for another few weeks, before the temperatures drop, the days get shorter and it's time to break out the cosy knits and knee high boots. I feel like I'll still be hanging on to the last vestiges of Summer for as long as possible, however, because I love the feeling of sun on my shoulders, the sound of cicadas and not wearing multiple layers within the walls of my own home. Alas, seasonal changes are going to happen, whether I want it to or not, but I can at least still cling on to the scent of Summer with the latest drops from Recreation Beauty, their All Over Body and Hair Mists!

For those who may not be familiar with Recreation Beauty - where on earth have you been? And if you're looking to indulge your (olfactory) senses, then now is the time to pick up some beautiful scents from this Australian brand. If you're after some recommendations, you can read my previous posts about them over here and here. Starting off as a fragrance brand, with some absolute stunners, they've expanded over the years to create products like body oils, facial oils, and now, body mists, which is brilliant, because now I have something I can toss into my locker and gym bags, so that I can freshen up after a work out!

It's not too far of a leap to see why they've gotten into the business of body and hair mists, because it's really just a parallel line from perfumes, but it's still exciting nevertheless, because a) I love Recreation Beauty and have waxed lyrical about them previously, so any new drop would get me jumping for joy and b)  I use hair mists regularly and I'm always looking for one that I'd love to add to my collection. They've released a total of four scents so far, and it's what I'd call a very good start!

There's Candy Vanille, Bare Coco, Midnight Mango and Rogue Vanille. I was very kindly sent Bare Coco and Midnight Mango, and I can't picked between the two! Midnight Mango starts off with a hit of sweet mango and hints of grapefruit, which come together with floral notes of jasmine, and fades off into a heady haze of musk and warm sandalwood. It reminds me of hot Summer days and icy cold cocktails, my favourite sort of contrast.

Bare Coco starts with citrusy notes of orange and sweet orange blossom, before letting the fragrance of coconut and jasmine come through, then drying down to some sweet musk and smooth vanilla. This invokes memories of beach days, salty sea breezes and hot Summer nights. And for a fragrance that features coconut as one of it's main scents, I was very pleasantly surprised by how much I liked it on first spritz. These retail for $55 each, and I'm now very keen to try the other two in the collection! Which would you pick?
