Review: Tirtir Milk Skin Toner
It's Sunday, and I'm loving being in Sydney after just landing from a long weekend away. I get people asking me if travelling regularly can be an overwhelming thing, from the packing to getting through the airport, to flying and then having to figure out currency or public transport in a different place to the one you left, but honestly, I think my mental health is much better for it. I can't quite explain it, but it's like a little reset for my brain, so I can keep propelling myself forward in life. While that's good, I don't know that I can say the same for my skin, so it's a good idea to make sure that you're always loaded up with good skincare and that you have a great routine going!
In this particular case, I'm talking about how much I love a good toner! It's been a few years since I started using toners regularly, and honestly, I don't know why it took me so long! I think we go through stages and phases in life where we're motivated to try all of the skin care, and sometimes, we want to pare back, and toners don't always make the cut. I'm here to take a stand for them, and tell you that if you're considering leaving it out, or haven't quite decided to add them to your rotation - the time is now! And if you're wondering where to start, the Tirtir Milk Skin Toner is a good place to think about beginning.
The Tirtir Milk Skin Toner is said to help soothe and add hydration to the skin, and it does so with the use of botanical extracts like centella asiatica and witch hazel. It's also meant to brighten the skin tone, and the rice bran extract in it is supposed to help you achieve that skin goal. Additionally, this contains 2% niacinamide, ceramide and panthenol, so that the skin can stay soft, supple and comfortable. This is suitable for all skin types, and this fragrance free and alcohol free toner will leave the skin feeling smooth.
This comes in a frosted tall bottle with a silver screw cap. The toner itself has a milky shade, and I love that this is easy to pour out. I find the texture of this to be different to that of other toners that I've used in the past. This actually has an almost emulsion type consistency - it's still light and runny and watery, but it actually seems to have a bit of a weight to it, which I love. It's almost, but not quite, like a serum, and it still gets absorbed really easily.
To use this, simply tap a small amount of this into the palm of your hand, or onto a cotton pad, then gently pat this into the skin of the face and neck. I do this step after cleansing the skin and prior to applying my serum. While I have really enjoyed this for my skin, I don't feel like this has been a massive value add for the radiance of my skin. I do like that this seems to keep my skin soft, though. It's not particularly expensive, and for my first foray into the world of Tirtir, this K beauty goodness feels worth it! What's your latest toner?
