Review: Frank Body Body Therapy Oil

Frank Body has really branched out over the years, and while they started out with their humble coffee scrubs, which was a staple for a while in my bathroom, I really liked it when they extended their offerings to more exciting scrubs. Remember when they dropped that shimmer scrub? Then they went on to produce lip products in the form of scrubs, which would help with exfoliating loose, flaky skin, then the lips could be rejuvenated with their lip balms, much in the same way that they then developed the Frank Body Body Therapy Oil, to help put back on what's been taken off.

Let me begin by saying that I wasn't sure if I was looking at a body oil or face oil when I first checked it out, due to the small size of the bottle. This is being marketed as an aromatherapy treatment to help soothe the body and mind, and it's cruelty free and vegan, which means it's accessible for everyone, which I love, and on top of it, it's also meant to be hydrating. This oil comes in a pale purple opaque bottle with a dropper applicator that makes it easy to get the product out of the bottle without making a mess.

I love that this is made up of a blend of different oils, starting with avocado oil, which is, as we all know, extremely tasty, but it's also great at feeding the skin, given that it's rich in vitamins and antioxidants. Avocado oil can also hydrate and nourish the skin. It also has jojoba oil in it, which is great for moisturising the skin, making it more supple, smoothing out lumps and marks. The formula also has sweet almond oil, which is great for hydration, clearing the complexion and reducing any puffiness. Additionally, there's chamomile extract in it, which can help relax the body and calm sensitive skin.

This has been designed to help soothe your overworked mind and body, so that you can relax at the end of a long day, and sink into your sheets with soft, smooth skin. Does it work as well as it says it would? The packaging works well, allowing the user to get out the right amount with each squeeze, but it does make it really hard to see how much product there might be left. The first thing that I noticed when I used this was the scent - it's light, semi-floral, and almost a little zesty to me. I really love it, and wish I could bottle it as a perfume!

This oil feels quite slippery, despite being quite light, and by using a small amount and working it into the skin, this does dry down sufficiently without making it so that when you put your clothes on, they don't stick to you. It does make my skin feel soft, and quietly nourished. This retails or $28 for 45ml of product, and you can find it where Frank Body is stocked, such as over at Mecca. Is this body oil one that you'd like to try?
