Review: Embroylisse Lait-Creme Concentre

Bonjour and welcome to the Sunday edition of Temporary Princess! As I was looking through the skincare products to see which one I wanted to talk about this week, I suddenly realised the answer was just underneath my nose, of course, and that's the Embroylisse Lait-Creme Concentre! I mean, I've been using this cream for a while now, and it slowly snuck into my life as a bit of a staple without me actually realising it, that's how good a staple it is! It all started with a few samples here and there, mainly from Adore Beauty as a gift with purchase, and before I knew it, I bought a bottle of it, and well, here we are!

I think French products have long been idolised in the makeup and skincare, well, beauty, really, sphere, and for good reasons. A lot of the French products I've indulged in over the years have been gorgeous, but a bit like French food, sometimes a little too creamy and occasionally, a little too heavy. However, this particular cream strikes the right balance of keeping the skin very well moisturised, without being cloying, greasy or heavy, but I'm getting ahead of myself!

Don't be fooled into thinking that this is any old ordinary moisturiser - in fact, it's so much more than that. It's actually a multi-tasker that does a lot more than being responsible for keeping the skin hydrated. This is meant to help refresh the skin, protecting it against moisture loss and therefore keeping it hydrated for longer, and helping to smooth the skin, so that you can have makeup that looks flawless over it. It's apparently known as the 24-hour miracle cream, and I can understand why it's called that.

The uses for this include being a makeup primer, cleanser, moisturiser and a mask, which is a lot of hats for this one lotion to wear! Essentially, if you've got moisturising needs, then this can be your go to. I find that as a makeup remover, this is effective, but probably not the best spend of money. and while it does work beautifully for moisturising my skin, I don't feel like this is particularly grippy when it comes to makeup, and I still prefer to use an additional primer over it. Primarily, I like using this as a moisturiser, but it's nice to know that you can use this in a variety of other ways at a pinch.

This has a watery to medium consistency, making it easy for the skin to absorb it. I love that this has a slight, creamy scent to it, and while it does look a little streaky white to begin with, this completely disappears into the skin, leaving no trace behind. This does a great job of moisturising my skin, and I love that it doesn't interact with any other bits of skincare. This lotion really does keep the skin moisturised for longer, and it's easy to see why it seems to be so popular! Sadly, 75 ml won't last for long, but at least it's very accessible. Clocking in at $48 for 75ml of product, this certainly isn't very cheap, nor is it particularly expensive, but it's worth the mid sized price tag. Would you use this cruelty free beauty?
