Review: Fenty Skin Dew N Plump Hydrating Nectar Glow Serum
Happy Monday to everyone, except for people who don't believe women. I'm in a bit of a sassy mood this morning - I think there's been a lot going on in the world, and it's hard not to feel angry about what's out there, but I'm going to try and turn my mood around. When everything is falling apart a little bit, I hold onto the fact that there are still at least a few things that I can control that's within my grasp, and one of them is the kind of skincare that I use to target my areas of concern, and in this instance, I'm talking about the Fenty Skin Dew N Plump Hydrating Nectar Glow Serum.
I'm quite a fan of Fenty Skin products, I've come to realise, and it has such a great range of products and their makeup isn't too shabby either! So, what can you expect from this serum, and why should you consider adding it into your skincare rotation? You can look forward to skin that glows, looks plumper and is stronger with an improved skin barrier and therefore better at withstanding the assaults from environmental stressors and exposure to general daily life.
This uses something called SuperQuench Juice Complex, which is made up of a blend of Barbado cherry, Kalahari melon and starfruit, to help hydrating and replenish the skin, reviving and plumping it out. There's also a mix of polyglutamic and hyaluronic acids, which are also meant to add moisture to the skin, helping it stay hydrated for longer. Additionally, there's panthenol to help strengthen the skin barrier, while niacinamide is part of the mix to help brighten and even skin tone. While I don't catch much of it, this is apparently meant to have notes of bergamot, jasmine and white orchid - to me, it simply smells lightly scented with something floral.
Packaged into a lilac clear tube with a good pump, the product comes as a light peachy serum that has a gel-like consistency, and it spreads over the skin beautifully. It is light without being runny, and I love that this sinks into the skin. I find this to be quite a hydrating serum, and it keeps my skin feeling supple and plump, which I love. As an adjunctive serum, I think it's a great addition into my routine, and for those in need of a moisture hit, this should be considered!
This is available from Sephora for $50 for 30 ml of product, and it's cruelty free and vegan, which means that it's very inclusive, so no one misses out! I don't think it gives me as much of a boost as some of my other products with powerful active, but I do like that my skin feels better hydrated after using this, so it works well alongside what I already have. I also really like that this doesn't react with any other products, making layering a breeze! Do you have a go to product that really moisturises your skin?
