Review: Jelly Ko Bubble Tea Steam Cream

I am so sorry - I feel like I have to apologise for letting my end down when it comes to Korean skincare. As someone who delved into K-beauty way before I started on my Hallyu journey, and began riding the Korean wave of food, dramas and even more beauty, I have not been featuring Korean brands as much as I honestly should have! Sure, I've done a few here and there, but I thought that it was time to sit my ass down and actually talk about something that I've been loving, and that's the Jelly Ko Bubble Tea Steam Cream!

So, I was recently introduced to Jelly Ko, and this is the first product that caught my eye when I opened my parcel. I will also be reviewing a different product from them shortly, but who could resist the idea of bubble tea, am I right? It's a great thing to drink, and eat, and believe it or not, it's even better on the skin! This claims to be deliciously moisturising, with the only downside that I have mad bubble tea cravings each and every time I apply it to my skin! This is meant to be hugely hydrating, and good for those with dull, dehydrated, dry and rough skin.

It's suitable for all skin types, including acne prone skin, and meant to help reduce the appearance of fine lines. It does so with the inclusion of some excellent ingredients, such as niacinamide, Vitamin E, beta glucan, pearl, squalene, sodium hyaluronate, panthenol, arginine, adenosine and allantoin. Together, these aim to nourish, improve the appearance of large pores and uneven skin tone, while also moisturising dry and dehydrated skin.

This comes in a clear jar with a white screw lid, and once removed, you'd find a gorgeous cream that appears to be really thick at first, then thins out to the point where you cannot actually feel it on the skin after massaging it in. This is deceptive in that I did think this would sit on the skin a bit more, but in reality, this doesn't leave the skin greasy and is just a gorgeous cream that gets absorbed really nicely. I am a little disappointed that this doesn't have a particular scent to it, because who doesn't love bubble tea, but it does make it a good option for those who are sensitive to fragrances.

I really like this - so much so that at the time of writing this, I am already scraping the bottom of the jar to get out whatever product I can still. It actually would probably be a great option for Summer, as this moisturises nicely without leaving the skin feeling oily, and I like that it has antioxidants to help fight free radicals. This is cruelty free and currently available online at various retailers for around $48 for a jar of 50 ml. Where is your favourite place to go for Korean skincare?
