Review: Skin Doctors Instant Lip Plumper

 
This has probably been the most unpredictable Summer that we've had for a while, switching without warning between cold days with unstoppable rain, and hot sunny afternoons that go on forever. It does make planning events and get togethers a little tough, but it also means that when we get the chance to meet up with friends and have fun outdoor activities, we really go for it! This also means that I need to put an outfit and look together with very little notice.

 

Thanks to Skin Doctors, I've been able to pull off the perfect pout with very little effort! Having lots of outdoor gatherings means not having to hide behind a mask in very crowded indoor spaces, jostling for a seat with loads of strangers. It also means being able to do a bright Summer lip, which is the perfect way to finish off a look.

 

However, being able to prep and prime your face so that you can have a smooth canvas for your look is far easier than getting your lips ready, which is why I've been loving the Skin Doctors Instant Lip Plumper. I start by exfoliating my lips, then applying a layer of a lip treatment to it. Once that dries down, I then use the Instant Lip Plumper before putting on a coat of colour. 

 

This comes in a clear plastic tube that holds a wand with a doe foot applicator on the end. While there are plenty of lip plumpers on the market that use a spicy ingredient to induce a reaction, resulting in swelling, the Instant Lip Plump is actually made with 3% hyaluronic acid filling spheres. A slick of this and my lips are fuller in just under five minutes! I find that this actually does cause some tingling, but it isn't unpleasant, and the results more than make up for it.
