Review: Scientia Peachy Clean Milky Oil Cleanser

Happy Sunday! As the rain continues to come down, I'm seriously rethinking my plans for the Easter weekend. I was meant to catch up with some people, including going to the Easter Show, my first in a few years, and actually socialise with others, but now, it looks like a lot of rain once again, and it may be an 'under the covers, hanging out with my cat' long weekend. I mean, that sounds like my idea of bliss, but the Easter Show held a lot of appeal for me too!

Speaking of washing things away with all this water, I've also been washing away my day with one particular cleanser, and that's the Scientia Peachy Clean Milky Oil Cleanser! I bought this a few months ago on Cult Beauty, while I was poking around for something new to try, and this caught my eye. There was something about the look of the bottle that appealed to me, and I was keen to try this out. This claims to join science with nature to create products that are both efficacious and powerful.

There are fruit extracts from passionfruit, peach, watermelon and pomegranate. This also has baobab, rosehip and jojoba oils, diffused through a proprietary Desert Milk complex to help protect the skin against the daily pollutants and elements, as well as replenishing it, all the while giving it a bright and peachy glow. Additionally, these ingredients work hard at binding to surface impurities in order to help get rid of them. There is also humectant in the form of glycerin for pulling moisture into the skin, as well as aloe vera to help keep it hydrated.

The Peachy Clean Milky Oil Cleanser comes in a glass, peach coloured matte bottle with a small nozzle at the end of the pump. This comes out as a thin, milky white cleanser that, surprise surprise, has a mild peachy scent to it. This cleanser has a really smooth and silky consistency. It contains a lot of really good things to help gently lift dirt and impurities, as well as makeup, while also keeping the skin soft. I love that it is really gentle on my skin, and that it does a great job of removing the traces of the day.

However, it is no match for a full face of makeup, and falters particularly when this meets mascara - I'm inevitably left with well smudged dark circles under my eyes that requires micellar water to take care of the remainder of the mess. Otherwise, however, I love this for helping with taking the rest of the day off. This retails for just under $50, which you can find over here. Are you more into traditional gel cleansers, or do you seek out cleansers with a different consistency?
