Review: L'Oreal Age Perfect Midnight Serum

Aside from genetics (and I can say that, as I'm very fortunately blessed, thanks to my mother), the secret to good skin lies in what you pick for your skin - and honestly, that's not a secret at all, but rather, a routine built through trial and error. This means that you have to try quite a few products, in order to figure out what your skin likes, and today, I get to talk about something that my skin loves, and that's the L'Oreal Age Perfect Midnight Serum.

Created to help the skin regenerate and repair while you're sleeping (essentially, doing the hard yards while you're snoozing), this serum comes in a dark dropper bottle that contains about 30 ml of product, and it really stands out on the dresser with it's gradient colouring, and label. This is made all the more amazing by it coming from recycled products, in addition to being recyclable. Sadly, the dropper feels a little on the cheap side. and doesn't entirely fit in with the rest of the packaging.

This contains a blend of powerful antioxidants - Neohesperidin and Vitamin E, and they work hard to protect the skin against free radicals, while also propelling overnight repair and regeneration. The serum doesn't leave a sticky residue on the skin, despite it feeling a little viscous at first touch. It has a pale yellow colour, which doesn't show up on the skin at all. It is also quite light, and is absorbed within a couple of minutes.

Having used most of a bottle at this point, I can honestly say that my skin feels smoother, and the skin tone has just improved. My skin also feels more hydrated, and plump. While it's meant to also improve the radiance of the skin, I didn't find that this did as much in this regard. Overall, however, this is a really pleasant serum to use.

This retails for $59.95 each, and don't forget, like all L'Oreal products, this will intermittently go on sale, so if you're keen to try something good, you should keep an eye on this, and honestly, you should consider grabbing one, sale or not! It is currently available where L'Oreal is stocked. What have you been loving as your serum?
