Review: Me Today Targeted All Over Glow C Serum
I think that it's important to try and start the week right - new beginnings and all that, you know? And honestly, it's so refreshing to look at Monday as a way to set the tone, rather than simply the start of the work week for a lot of us, trying to wade through it all, just so that we could reach the end of the week to really live it up. Hence, it's something that I'm getting my mindset to adjust to, so that I can feel confident to stride into the new week, eyes and skin bright, putting my best face forward and ready to take on everything that comes my way! And what better way to take on the new week than to adjust that mindset the day before?
One of those things that's helping me to feel like I've got everything under control, and imbuing a sense of confidence by making my outside match my outlook on life is the Me Today Targeted All Over Glow C Serum. I bought this serum a while back, on my last trip to New Zealand, while I was snooping around Chemist Warehouse, and if you're interested in my previous post about Me Today, you can find it over here. This New Zealand based brand is cruelty free, and while the skincare product range may be small, they actually have a lot of supplements in their line that I would love to see make their way over here to Australia.
In the meantime, I'm going to have to rely on future trips to New Zealand to try out little bits of the range each time, as I like seeing the products in person and until then, I'll have to amass an online trolley full of items I'd like to try and pace myself! This is a serum that is infused with highly stable Vitamin C, as well as brightening botanicals, such as strawberry and kiwi seed. This is meant to help improve the appearance of hyperpigmentation, aiding in brightening the skin tone, so that you can be left with a luminous complexion.
This serum comes in a green opaque cylindrical bottle with a pull off cap and a pump that produces a generous amount with each push. I find that one pump is sufficient to cover the skin on the face, neck and decolletage, and that it's absolutely fuss free. The serum has an almost jelly-like consistency, and is the colour of weak tea, which disappears as you massage this into the skin. It disappears quickly, and within seconds, it's almost like it was never applied.
There's no obvious fragrance linked to this, and it may just be in my mind, but it almost feels like there's a bit of a cooling sensation when initially applied. It doesn't stay around for long, however, and my skin is left feeling quite fresh with a hint of a low. I don't feel like this does amazing things for my hyperpigmentation, but I think that it does result in keeping my skin at a baseline of staying bright and my complexion looks a little clearer. If you're keen on trying this for yourself, you can find more information about it over here. Does Vitamin C feature heavily in your skincare routine?
