Review: Boost Lab Nourishing Oil Cleanser

I think the thing that people don't understand about introverts is that it's difficult to be sparkly and interactive and chatty with people during the day, and then wanting to go home and crash and just recharge on your own, being a quiet little cat with very little to do with anyone else - just decompressing by yourself. Most people would assume that I'm a very sociable extrovert, as I'm quite loud, and at work, the social lubricant that is my patient load can be very helpful for keeping me chatty as I go about doing my job. It does leave me feeling overloaded sometimes, and all I want, or can think of some days, is going home and taking my makeup off before having a shower and collapsing into a heap.

On the days where my exhaustion feels bone deep, it's all I can do to simply carry out the bare, basic tasks, and then drag my carcass into bed. That's when I could truly use all the help I could possibly get, and cleansing oils are like liquid gold at that point in time. Hence, I'm a big fan of cleansing oils, and the Boost Lab Nourishing Oil Cleanser has been incredibly wonderful to use! For those who are new to cleansing oils and what you'd use them for, it's simple. These are great for removing your makeup in lieu of using micellar water or other makeup removers, and you can do it in the shower, making it fuss free. You would then follow it up with your regular cleanser, before reveling in your soft, clean skin!

As someone who has used a lot of oil cleansers over the years, it's really nice to find an Australian brand with brilliant one, and that, of course, is the Boost Lab Nourishing Oil Cleanser! This cleanser comes packaged in a translucent glass bottle with a pump that gets out a small amount of product each time. I find about five pushes to be the right amount for my daily face, going up to approximately eight pumps for when I've put on more makeup, like foundation or colourful eyeshadows and elaborate eyeliners.

To use this, simply apply this to dry skin, with dry hands, and really work it into the face, massaging it into areas that you're trying to cleanse. This is a silky, smooth fluid that cuts through a lot of makeup, sunscreen, and the remnants of the day from being out and about. I love that this cleanses the skin while actually making the skin feel replenished and soothed. I find this to work really well on removing a lot of makeup, including some of the more stubborn bits, like dark eyeliner that hugs the contours of my eyes.

I love that this has calendula extract as part of the formula, which can help calm and soothe the skin, keeping it happy all while taking off your makeup, and that this is finely and deliciously scented with orange and bergamot essential oils, giving it a light, refreshing bouquet of floral zest that can be uplifting. It's an easy cleansing oil to use and love! You can find it at multiple places, including online at Adore Beauty and Priceline. It retails for about $29.95, making it relatively affordable. What was the last cleansing oil you reached for?
