Review: Dope Skin Co Antioxidant Botanical Gel Cleanser
How good does it feel to come home at the end of a long day, and take off all your makeup, then use a cleanser to remove all the leftover traces of it? It's amazing, isn't it? I know that they say not to do this, but one of my favourite things to do is to rub my face with my towel after my shower, and just bury my head into that soft material. Of course, that is only possible if you have a good cleanser, right? And on that note, say hello to the Dope Skin Co Antioxidant Botanical Gel Cleanser!
If you missed my previous Dope Skin Co review, you can see it over here! Now, let's talk about something else wonderful from the very same brand. This gel cleanser comes in a light green opaque bottle, with a flip lid. This has a medium consistency, and when mixed with some water and worked into the skin, this lathers up just a little bit, while continuing to feel velvety and smooth on the face. I love that this doesn't dry out my skin - instead, it ends up helping balance the way it feels, which is great.
Touted as a pH balanced product that is also vegan and cruelty free, this is crammed with goodness. There is hemp seed extract and aloe vera, which is great for soothing and nourishing the skin, as well as creating a protective barrier. The addition of kakadu plum means lots of fabulous vitamin C to help brighten the skin. Also, pomegranate, watermelon and green tea extracts are part of the ingredients, and these provide antioxidants and vitamins, including niacinamide, to help keep your skin healthy.
These ingredients all come together to look after stressed, inflamed, dehydrated and dull skin. The protective barrier created by the cleanser can help prevent moisture loss, and therefore, battles dehydration. This is aided by the polyunsaturated fatty acids, such as omega 3 and omega 6 essential fatty acids, which is what hemp seed oil is very rich in.
This certainly lives up to the company name on a couple of different levels! My skin is loving this, particularly during the super hot and scorching days! This retails for $29 for 125ml, and you can find it over here. What have you tried from Dope Skin Co that you've ended up absolutely falling head over heels for?
