Review: Summer Fridays Pool Time Glowing Body Oil

Hitting the height of Summer means hot, muggy days, where your clothes are stuck to you half of the time, and it's an effort to move, including when it comes to the simple act of peeling your clothes off of your body. When you're sticky a lot of the time, the last thing you want to do is to cover your body in a substance that could potentially make your skin feel tacky, adding to the stickiness. While not a dry oil, the Summer Fridays Pool Time Glowing Body Oil has a lot more going for it that essentially makes this one of my favourite oils that I've tried so far.

Let's talk ingredients! This is a natural oil blend, which includes macadamia nut oil, jojoba oil, sunflower oil and apricot kernel oil. This has a very subtle, and Summer friendly scent that consists of coconut, vanilla blossom and warm almond, all mixed together to invokes images of bright days and brown skin.

This comes in a clear glass bottle with a white screw cap, and the Pool Time Glowing Body Oil (which I recommend not actually wearing by the pool, unless you want to burn - I'd stick with sunscreen instead) has a light consistency that makes it so that by varying the amount of oil that you use, you can actually control how oily it ends up being on the skin ie using a minimal amount to cover the skin results in you having soft skin, without that greasy sensation.

All this so far, and I haven't even talked about how shimmery this stuff is! The glow is real with this one - I'm over halfway down this bottle of oil, and continued use of this product has not lessened the amount of glitter particles in it, which I love. This means that I can still get even amount of glitter on the skin over time! This body oil leaves my skin lightly fragranced, and looking amazing, as well as feeling replenished, thanks to the Vitamin E that's in it.

Retailing for $51, this is available at Mecca, both in store and online. It's meant to be a limited edition item, so I would urge you to get your hands on this sooner rather than later! What has been your favourite body oil discovery over the last couple of years?
