Budget Buys: Beauty Essentials by Priceline Limited Edition
Who here is an avid reader of the Priceline catalogue? You know I'm not the only one who looks forward to it every other Thursday!
While I realise it doesn't help curb my spending (yes, yes, yes, I know), it does give me something to look forward to, and really, if something in the world makes you that happy, why should you stop doing it?
I was really excited to spot a special little something from them, however, in a recent catalogue. Priceline's own line, Beauty Essentials, with an already established skincare line, came out with some make up that was advertised with one of my favourite phrases - Limited Edition!
So, with that in mind, I raced around to a couple of different stores to pick up a few products from this line. I found that each place had a slightly different variation, and it took me about four visits to find what I wanted.
From what I could tell, visiting the different stores, this line is made up of:
- Volumising mascara
- Nail polish remover pot
- 10 shade natural eye shadow palette
- 10 shade smoky eye shadow palette
- Brow pencil
- Liquid eye liner
- Nail polish in eight shades
- Black eye liner pencils
- Lip gloss in four shades
- Lip stick in four shades
- Felt eye liner pen
Did I mention that it's only $3 per item? That's right - the price point of these items is $3!
I was so excited about them, I just had to pick some items up, and here's what I managed to achieve for a face of the day.
The lipstick is really quite pigmented (I'm wearing Coral in this picture), the felt liner pen is decent and would be ideal for first time users, and while I was hoping the brow pencil would be good, sadly, it's a little too soft for my liking. The mascara is actually pretty decent, made even better by the fact that it's so affordable!
My favourite piece, however, would be the eye shadow palette - 10 shades for $3? What a crazy bargain! And it has very usable colours too.

Will you be looking to pick any of these items up? What are you most interested in?
I had no idea they had their own brand, oh man, I'd go crazy shopping if I could go to numerous Pricelines! I drive 100km to my nearest! I should totally move, right? lol Love super affordable makeup, especially eye shadows, you look great x
ReplyDeleteMove, Loz, move! I just love budget buys!
DeleteWow! Four stores! Now that's commitment heehee. The coral lipstick shade is so pretty!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it? It's also surprisingly opaque!
Deletethanks for the heads up! Now I better keep an eye out when I go to priceline!! I'm keen on the palette.$3 is amazing...some times I wonder how much profit the bigger brands are making if eye shadow palettes can sell for $3 and still be some what profitable for the company.
ReplyDeleteIt's crazy how cheap some fairly decent makeup can be!
