Review: Tarte Rainforest After Dark Palette
Hello, lovelies!
I want to take the time to have a chat about one of my new favourite purchases! I got this pretty little thing while out and about in New York last month.
Inside, there's a big mirror, and eight eye shadows and a blush. There are four shimmery shades, one of which is about three times the size of the others, and similarly for the matte shades.
Going clockwise from the matte shade at the top, it's Park Ave Princess, Don't Turn A-brown, Tan-gled Up In You, Up To No Gold, Plum Away With Me, Make A Mauve, Bare To Explore and Champagne.
The eye shadows themselves are smooth to apply and while they are quite pigmented, you don't have to be afraid of picking up too much in one go. They are also very easy to blend, which is essential for me!
The blush itself is Unleashed, and it's a pale pink shade. While not a shimmery shade, like the rose golds I've been reaching for recently, it's reasonably muted and a colour that is quite suitable for a number of different skin tones. It's quite a natural shade that adds a bit of warmth to your cheeks.
All in all, an excellent purchase, and definitely not one that I regret! I believe that this is limited edition, and retails for USD$38.
Have you tried anything from Tarte before? Would you use a palette like this one, or do you prefer having a separate blush?
The packaging is lovely, and I also like the colours. ^^

It really is a beautiful palette, isn't it?
DeleteWow, those colours are really pretty. I'm more than happy to have an all-in-one palette, saves space! (translate - leaves more space for MORE stuff! lol) x
ReplyDeleteIt's also travel friendly! I might have to look into taking this on my travels in the future.
DeleteAh, I'd been eyeing this palette for a while- it's a beaut! Such a great range of shades and the packaging is amazing. Glad you're liking it! xo
