Review: Rare Beauty Find Comfort Hydrating Hand Cream and Body Lotion

December means it's time for me to shop for myself, both in the sense that my birthday is in December, and also for Christmas. Additionally, in our relationship, I tend to shop on behalf of my husband for me, as this is the one thing that he doesn't tend to do, gets stressed out by, and isn't a fan of shopping, just in general. Given that he is the main reason that I'm actually alive, thanks to his regular, multiple feeds in one day, and him being the one that tidies up, and makes me do likewise, it works out well for me, a former shopaholic that still struggles with the use of the word 'former' when talking about myself.

The problem is that I don't need much of an excuse to do something nice for myself, and at this point, treat yo'self is certainly about the first thing that comes out of my mouth everything I want to purchase something! And with that in mind, when Sephora had a sale recently, I jumped on it, and grabbed a couple of little beauties from Rare Beauty, the Find Comfort Hydrating Hand Cream and Find Comfort Body Lotion! As I've been using some of the beauty products, I wanted to branch out within the brand to see what they might be like.

Bit of a spoiler, but I'm happy to report that it wasn't a mistake buying them! As someone who uses a hand cream every night, it's been a joy to use! The packaging colour is akin to a lilac mauve shade, and bottle is kind of flat, and looks like a round triangle. I love how not at all messy this is. In order to get the hand cream out, all you have to do is twist the cap to reveal an opening, without taking it off, making it something that's relatively fuss free to use. Additionally, this hydrates beautifully, and gets absorbed really quickly, despite feeling quite thick initially. The scent is both slightly citrusy, which isn't surprising, given that this has lemon zest, as well as being a little floral, which makes sense, given that this has jasmine and cashmere wood in the scent profile. It leaves my hands feeling moisturised, rather than greasy, and the design of the bottle makes it easy for travel, without fear of it spilling everywhere.

As someone who often opts for body oils over body lotions these days, I wavered a little before hitting add to basket, but I'm so glad I did! Like the hand cream, this also contains shea butter and madacamia seed oil in the ingredients, as well as peach flower extract and ashwaganda. This lotion is steeped in vitamins and antioxidants, such as niacinamide, so that it can protect and nourish the skin, while moisturising and brightening it. It starts off slightly thick, but it's easy to spread, and it gets absorbed quite nicely. It has a similar scent to the hand cream, and it leaves my skin feeling soft and supple.

The hand cream retails for $32 for 53ml of product, and I love that bottle is made of 74% post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic! Even better, the body lotion is made of 97% PCR plastic, and it will set you back by $49 for 250ml of product. I really like the soft to touch packaging, and I feel like they picked a very soothing colour for them! If you're after the hand cream and/or lotion, you can head to Sephora to grab your own! I wasn't expecting to like them quite so much, and I'm really glad that I bought them when I did! What have you bought from Rare Beauty this year?
