Review: KIT: Skinkind Face Oil

Welcome to the end of the year! I had a little break from blogging over Christmas, but you know me, I can't stay away for too long! While there are self imposed deadlines and stress when I'm rushing against time, I think I can't discount how much blogging really helps with my mental health, and I'm so grateful that there people out there who still regularly read what I write, and I can't thank you guys enough for all your support! To close out the year, I'm ending it strong with the Skinkind Face Oil from KIT:, the latest face oil in my skincare rotation!

Having seen and used KIT: over the years, particularly when Mecca first started stocking them, I found them to wane in popularity for a stretch of time, before they made a comeback, and honestly, my skin is a better place with them in it! This is marketed as a corrective face oil that's been formulated for skin in the modern age that's experiencing symptoms of burnout, and in need of self-care - essentially, it's for skin if that skin were my mental health!

This nourishing face oil is cruelty free and Vegan Society-certified vegan, and comprised of a blend of seed, nut and plant oils to help your skin bounce back from it's overworked and overtreated present to a better balanced, comfortable state. This is meant to help hydrate, brighten, plump, calm and smooth the skin, so that you can restore it to it's former glory. To do so, it utilises a few key ingredients, some of which we are familiar with, such as Jojoba Oil, which is great for hydrating the skin, and keeping it balanced, while also rejuvenating the face.

There's also cold-pressed macadamia oil, which is steeped in fatty acids, and this can help nourish the skin, while also combating dryness. Macadamia oil can also act as an anti-inflammatory, keeping the skin calm, and it can also help deal with environmental stressors, while maintaining the skin's balance. Additionally, there's also Holy Basil Oil, which helps with fighting free radicals, as well as soothing the skin and calming skin irritation and inflammation. This comes in a red short, round bottle with a dropper applicator that makes it easy to get the oil out, given how good the suction is.

You're meant to use between 2 to 5 drops, depending on how much your skin needs, and it is easily absorbed and I find that this doesn't tend to leave my skin feeling greasy or oily. I like that this doesn't have an added fragrance, and on it's own, I find that this has a bit of a pleasant citrusy, woody scent anyway. I love that this doesn't react with any other bits of skin care I've been using, and that my skin genuinely seems to react well to this. I love that this is very affordable, sitting at $42 for 30 ml of product, and you can find it over here at Mecca. What is on your must buy list, coming into the New Year?
