Review: Indie Lee Sleep Body Oil
Annnnnd, we're back with a new body oil! This Winter has been particularly harsh on my skin, and I'm not sure if it's the abrupt about face that the weather makes from wet and wild to cold and dry, or simply a combination of factors, including getting older, but whatever it is, my skin isn't loving it. The one thing that is really helping my skin, though, is body oil, so I'm really glad I hopped onto that train a few months ago! My latest obsession is the Indie Lee Sleep Body Oil, and while it was a gamble for me when I clicked add to cart a few months ago, I'm so glad I did!
I'm new to the brand Indie Lee, and for those who are too, this range is currently available at Sephora, with the the Sleep Body Oil going for $69 for 125 ml of product. Indie Lee was created as a brand to focus on the goodness that nature has to offer, and harnessing that for every day use. I'm really impressed by how wide the entire range is - when I have a look at their US website, it honestly looks like we only carry a smidgen of the whole collection at Sephora, which is a bit of a shame!
What is there to love about the Indie Lee Sleep Body Oil? The scent, for one! Can one be a sleep oil without being steeped in base notes of lavender? I don't know about you, but it's certainly a fragrance that carries me off into Slumber Town smoothly. I will say that they don't skimp on the perfume, and I can smell it every time I move. More than just a pleasant fragrance, however, this does the job with nourishing your skin.
There is a blend of jojoba, grape seed and marula oils to feed the skin nutrients, while lavandin, lavender and Moroccan chamomile essential oils work together to rejuvenate the skin. The addition of patchouli and vetiver can assist in relaxing the mind and body. This comes as a spray, stored in a tall, frosted glass bottle, and this does a very good job of dispersing the oil all over the skin. Once spread over the skin, this doesn't take long for it to be absorbed.
While not a dry oil, this is does a great job of moisturising the skin without actually leaving it greasy and oily. It's more like a happy medium - a somewhat oily finish, that doesn't end up feeling like it's coming off onto your clothes. I'm really loving this, and what it's doing for my skin. You can find the range, and particularly this body oil, over here. Do you find lavender scented products to help you sleep better?
