Review: Votary Nutrient Cream Light
Happy Monday! We are now just about in the home stretch to Christmas, with only 10 days away from the big day! I hope that at this point, everyone has their trees up, and that if you haven't already done your shopping list, that you've at least made your list, so you know what you're getting for them! I also hope that you managed to have a lovely weekend, and got to stay cool in the shade, or at the very least, not overheat! Just a reminder that if you have a cat or dog, and especially birds, to keep them inside when it's really hot out here - heat stroke is a very real and potentially fatal problem. If it's hot for us, it's hot for them!
From one PSA to another, however, if you haven't tried the Votary Nutrient Cream Light, I would highly recommend you giving it a go! As you probably know, I've been a fan of products from Votary for quite a while - they seem to work well on my skin, and I find that they keep my skin moisturised without feeling piled up, and this is no exception. The Nutrient Cream Light is said to be an active-packed daily moisturiser, and it's meant to soothe the skin while keeping it radiant, and providing long lasting hydration, all while being lightweight.
This cream has some really interesting ingredients, starting with Votary's bespoke 21 Super Seed Oil blend that's meant to nourish and soothe the skin. There's also plant oleosomes and hyaluronic acid to help trap moisture in the skin, while phytoceramides are there to protect the skin barrier, which would also prevent water loss, thereby keeping it hydrated and bouncy. The addition of collamung is there as an antioxidant for fighting UV stress, as well as to nourish the skin and improve the skin barrier. Last but not least, there's also phytoestrogens there to help give your skin a radiant glow.
This comes in their signature green packaging, with a white label on it. The screw top is easy to remove, and it truly is fragrance free, as I cannot pick up a scent at all. This has a very light texture - it's really easy to scoop up and spread right over the skin. I love that this seems to linger on the skin a short while before it sinks into the skin, and I also love that this doesn't seem to leave a layer on my face. I let it sit for a couple of minutes before going over my skin with my sunscreen, and this hasn't, at this point, reacted with any other products.
