Review: Urban Jungle Golden Rule Body Gloss

Phew! It has been hotter than hell out here in Sydney, and while I'm all about Summer and heat that comes with it, I'm definitely not about the humidity, which has also been on the rise. While you get the occasional relief that comes with the air being heavy with moisture when it rains, and things feel a little cooler again, it doesn't last for long, and I'm really not excited about having too many pieces of material touching my skin. In fact, if, like a lot of my patients running around town in their lion clips, I could be a nudie rudie like them, I absolutely would!

That said, this has never stopped me from moisturising my body after my shower, whether we're here in Australia at the height of Summer, or we've been away in far warmer climates. It's absolutely a habitual thing, and I really can't help but do it each and every time I've had a shower. My current body oil of choice was something that I picked up at Priceline recently, while I was looking for some basic toiletries, and honestly, no regrets, because this stuff was made for Summer, and that is, of course, the Urban Jungle Golden Rule Body Gloss!

If you're not familiar with Urban Jungle, then this is a good place to get acquainted! The Golden Rule Body Gloss is perfect for that Summer radiant glow, and here's why. The formula includes 12 nourishing oils, including coconut, avocado, jojoba and argan, as well as tumeric, and it has the added bonus of being packed full of squalene, so that your skin can feel incredibly incredibly moisturised. On top of all that, there's also that incredible shimmer that's designed to help give your skin such a glow up, you'd be looking forward to having a shower just so your skin could be dewy.

This comes in a clear glass bottle that makes it incredibly easy to get the product out - there's a small opening in the top, and all you have to do is tap it against your hand, and it will start flowing out. This is a slightly oily oil, but it dries down to making the skin simply feel soft and nourished and loved. It leaves behind a quietly rich, almost coconutty scent that just reminds me of the beach, Summer and sun to accompany that sunkissed glow.

This is vegan, cruelty free, and while it's Korean made, it's Aussie owned, so it's a bit like having the best of both worlds. Given that this is $42 for 80 ml of product, it is a little spendy, but it feels worth it, as it leaves my skin with a gorgeous lustre, while also looking after it. I have to say, I'm a fan! You can find more information about it via their website, and they are available at various stores, including Priceline and Sephora. Have you tried anything from Urban Jungle?
