Review: Garnier Skin Active Foaming Vitamin C Face Wash
Look, I'm going to honest. Garnier isn't the first brand I immediately think of when someone asks me what my favourite drugstore brand is, but you know what? It's been there for me, reliably, when I've been in need of a product that would perform the way I'd like for it to, and they've always been decently priced, and you know what? Garnier has slowly been rising to the top, like the cream of the crop that it is, and I've actually been in love with the brand for the longest time. If you need any proof, simply type Garnier into the search bar on this blog, and you'll find evidence of it!
I've slowly been working my way through their Skin Active Vitamin C, and the latest one to make it into the mix is the Foaming Vitamin C Face Wash, and honestly, I think that this may be my favourite range out of everything I've tried from Garnier over the years! Let me preface the rest of this review by saying that you have very little to lose, and I mean that financially, first of all, because this retails for $9.99 for 100ml of product, and I bought this at 50% off, meaning that I got it for basically pocket change - easily the cheapest bit of skincare I've bought for a while!
While affordable, you don't have to compromise on how well the product actually works, which is the most important thing to me. The premise is simple - it's touted as a gentle foaming cleanser that's enriched with Vitamin C to help thoroughly cleanse and visibly brighten dull skin. This comes in a white tube with a yellow flip lid, and I love that this makes it easy for me to get the product out.
It's quite creamy, and to use this, simply mix it with a bit of water, rub it between the palms of your hands to get it to lather up a little bit, then massage it into the skin in rotational strokes. I love how easy it is to work this into the skin, and it's really gentle on my face. This rinses off without leaving any residue behind. It doesn't feel like it strips the skin of the normal oils at all, and my skin feels balanced after it's use. I also like that this does seem to add to my skin looking bright.
This cleanser is nothing new, but it is refreshing and really easy to love. It does what it says on the label, and I love that it doesn't dry out my skin. I also really love that this is readily available just about everywhere, and you can find it at most pharmacies, including Priceline and Chemist Warehouse. What is your favourite Garnier product?
