Review: Aromatica Serene Lavender And Marjoram Body Oil

It's the first of December, which means it's officially the start of Summer, which also means that we're only one day away from my birthday! Welcome to the hottest season of the year, we have so much to look forward to! Similarly, we also have plenty that we're not very keen on, such as cockroaches (and I've already seen plenty of those, ick ick ick), sweating from every single pore, your makeup melting off and sticking to leather seats. But you know what we are looking forward to? Citrus cocktails, warm Summer nights, outdoor cinemas and beach days, just to name a few.

What I won't be worrying about is trying to find that balance between having my skin moisturised enough, without it weighing my skin down, or making me feel greasy. And I've been loving the Aromatica Serene Lavender and Marjoram Body Oil for hitting all the right (scent) notes, and sending me off to Bedfordshire (ie sleepy time) after my evening shower. I ended up purchasing this a while back, as I was searching through a number of K beauty websites, and I was excited to see a body oil that I wasn't familiar with.

Appropriately named Aromatica, this beautifully scented product has my skin humming. The formula is vegan and cruelty free, and it comes in sustainable packaging, namely a clear glass bottle with a screw cap, and a small opening enough to get out a decent amount of oil with each tap. This starts off feeling a bit like an oily oil, especially if you're heavy handed with it, but it does dry down comfortably, and doesn't leave your skin feeling sticky or unpleasant.

This oil is actually made up of a blend of 6 plant-derived oils, including olives, almonds and sunflowers, as well as jojoba oil, so that your skin can be left feeling nourished, moisturised, loved and soft, which it definitely does for me! It makes sense, given that this is steeped in Vitamins A, D and E. I love how my skin feels after using this, and that it dries down enough for me to put my clothes on after a couple of minutes, without it sticking to my skin.

The Serene Lavender and Marjoram Body Oil retails for around $39 for 100 ml of product, and you can find it at various retailers, including Boniik here in Sydney. Made in Korea, Aromatic strives to be a sustainable brand, looking after your skin while looking after the earth. For my first foray into the brand, it's been lovely, and I would definitely try more from them! You can find it over here. What's the last Kbeauty product you tried?
