Review: Skin & Lab Vitamin C Brightening Serum
Summer is where my skin really shines, and I mean that in the literal sense! It's this time of year when I shed the dull, sad matte look that seems to build up over Winter, and I buff it away to reveal brand new shiny skin that looks radiant and beautiful! Part of how I get there, aside from using an excellent exfoliant, is by drenching my skin in one of my favourite active ingredients, and that, of course, has to be Vitamin C!
When I look back through 2025, I feel like there's been a very heavy focus on K-beauty products, and truly, can you blame me, when they've been churning out stunning products regularly, with some even making it onto my holy grail list, including the very one that we're talking about today. The Skin & Lab Vitamin C Brightening Serum is a lightweight brightening serum, and while Vitamin C is the hero ingredient, this is also formulated with something called 15% Vita Energy Complex, which is a blend of 15 vitamins, and Vitamin C, to help give your skin a luminous glow.
This also has five types of hyaluronic acid to help keep the skin hydrated, as well as panthenol, to moisturise it. This also has Vittamin E bubble capsules that's filled with antioxidants and help fight the signs of anti-aging. Designed to brighten and even the skin tone, while locking in moisture, it comes packaged in an opaque light blue bottle with a dropper for ease of application. I like that the dropper has a great suction, which means that I can get out the right amount of product each and every time.
The serum, which initially looked oily to me, is actually just a yellow serum of medium consistency, and I love that it gets absorbed quickly, despite that, and it makes my complexion look radiant over time. This doesn't have much of a scent to it, and what I really love is that my skin has been looking brighter since I started using this. It's an easy serum to love, and for just over $40 for 30 ml, it's pretty affordable.
My skin feels smooth and looks brighter, but I don't think that this makes my skin particularly moisturised, and my skin has been put through the paces by me travelling, and the weather acting up/ I'm curious about the brand, now that I have tried it out, and had success with this. I'd be keen to try something like an eye cream, maybe. You can find this at various online retailers, including Beauty Amora. What's your favourite skin brightening serum?
