Review: Byoma Creamy Jelly Cleanser
A good cleanser is hard to find, but Byoma is now very easy to locate in Australia, so it's just gotten a little easier! And as you might remember, Byoma is one of my favourite new finds over the last year, and this is simply another purchase from the brand that helps stack my love for them in their favour. The Byoma Creamy Jelly Cleanser has been on heavy rotation in my shower caddy, and it's pretty obvious why - this stuff is legitimately excellent, without any insane bells and whistles.
The Byoma Creamy Jelly Cleanser is appropriate for those with combination, oily, dry and normal skin, and it's particularly targeted to those who are concerned about skin dullness, dryness and conversely, oiliness. Touted as an ultra hydrating jelly cleanser that's meant to gently and effectively break down dirt, excess oil and makeup, without traumatising the skin barrier, this daily cleanser is soap free, alcohol and fragrance free, as well as vegan and cruelty free.
This has been formulated with their Tri-Ceramide Complex, made up of ceramides, cholesterol and fatty acids, which is supposed to help strengthen the barrier, It also has licorice root and green tea extracts, with the former being packed with antioxidants, fighting free radicals, and the latter added to nourish the skin, helping to brighten the condition it.
The cleanser comes in a tall, rectangular bottle with a pull off lid, and a pump that only produces a small amount of product with each push. I find that about 5 pumps of this is enough to help remove the traces of my makeup at the end of the day, even though everything I've read online says 1 to 2 pumps. This has a light, gel consistency that lathers up relatively well, and I simply massage this into my skin in circular motions, letting it work it's magic, lifting up dirt and the remnants of my makeup.
This doesn't have a discernible scent, and it's very gentle on my skin. I like that it does leave my skin feeling clean, without being dry or tight. It's currently available at Sephora, where Byoma is stocked. You can find previous Byoma posts over here, here and here. Sitting at just $24 for 175ml of product, this is truly affordable, and very much worth it. What's your favourite, must have Byoma product that you'd buy over and over again?
